Went to the gym today, haven't felt better about a session like today in over 3 months. Not even sure why. I haven't eating much today and yet I felt like I destroyed the weights. :notsure: Also. I can't wait for the cold weather, I can't seem to keep my weight gain up with 100 degree, 100% humidity 50 gallons of water a day never peeing once weather.

They're the douchiest ones there cuz you can't do those moves! :p

I think most people would think that because they would seem like show offs to most, considering most of the population can't do that. Hell I can't even do those things!

Seriously though, you're right on all accounts.

I tried stepping on the 5lb plates during squats, pretty sweet tip.

Helluva lot more stable at the bottom of the squat

i like doing this with pistols helps a ton! i can barely do a few without this, then with i can do a lot. I'v broken both ankles so the flexibility isnt realy there anymore almost have no external rotation in both of them :( never really tried it with back squats tho i usually wear olympic lifting shoes when doing squats, anyone who hasn't tried those or if you have a problem pushing up thru your heals id recommend them for sure they make a solid difference

I second that a pair of cheap do-win squat shoes makes a ton of difference.

did my last squat day with not shoes and it was great, was able to get down a lot lower without feeling like i was falling forward.

on a different note, have any of you guys experienced any type of joint pain with doing the heavy 5x5 program?
my elbows have started hurting so i am going to switch to a lighter weight superset type of workout to see if it makes a difference.

    Man down......

Did rack pulls for the first time in a long time a couple weeks ago. Now my right knee is killing me. After about 1/4 mile of constant walking it seems like its locking up. Almost as if I need to stretch or pop my knee cap into place. According to online seems like a loose patella. I'm pretty sure the barbell was riding down my leg in hitting the top of my knee cap during rack pulls. Time to take up swimming for cardio:(.

5x5s are brutal. I do 5x5s every other day and 3x10 on the others.

yeah i like doing the 5x5 workout but i think it's pretty hard on the body. i have been doing it for a few months now, i think it's time to change it up.
