You pay for his school:eek::eek: Damn! My parents won't pay for shit! I've been paying for all of my own stuff (except clothes and food when I lived with them) since I was about 12. Once I graduated high school I picked up paying for clothes and food myself when I moved out to go to college.

No wonder Monte can afford to mod his Tacoma like he does:D

On the flipside do you know how much camping gear $10.5K could have bought! haha Unless the joy is from the actual act of jacking your kids gear:cool: haha

I was just wondering this yesterday. Are drift cars locked in the rear? It would make more sense to me for them to be (the rwd ones anyway). I assume they are just spooled though.

I know. He's always got like 3-4 jobs going, but I almost have my school all paid for and make decent money per month and can't afford to drop the kind of money he seems to drop into his Taco lately.

    ^^This

I do NOT get a free ride.

I paided my way for the first two years. My parents have thankfully set aside some money for me and my siblings that we can choose to use on any school we want. I saved all mine and used scholarships to go for free the first two years. Now im using the money my parents have allowed. It covers pretty much tuition and a little more. Im very grateful for it and if all works out, i SHOULD be debt free with a bachelors..heres hoping..

Either way, i pay for ALL my own toys and tricks. Ain't easy and i work hard to play hard. Pay for all my food and rent and living expensises right now other then the lovely gift of a fridge and mircowave and some nice bourbon :D haha

But yes. I have awesome parents, i mean come on, my dad is on here :D haha speaks for itself.

And some of the guys got to meet my fantastic mother to know she is awesome and very generous and a great supporter of anything i set out to do.

I am a lucky guy for sure :) But i pay my dues when i can and work when i need to work.

Yea they are usually like welded i think..

    exactly!

Plus i mean..really..your rig is just a well off as me..

You have F/R plate bumpers, full skids, lift and 33s..and a locker haha

really your truck is better off then mine..for now :p haha

But i call it my "beer" money. I don't spend a penny on things like that..just the truck and audio gear pretty much. Sometimes leads to a sad social life..but hey. I have a great social offroad life and i wouldn't trade it for the world.

:pout: I guess for me, coming from snowmobiling lots when I was younger and drooling over the sick modded ones strikes a chord since it sounds similar...

Yea..i don't get it either..DD or not..make it look like it suppose to be there. And fuck..like DD is an excuse..most rigs here are DDs. Really aren't that many on here that wheel hard. Hell..idk if even most of us fall into the "wheel hard" category. But whatever. Freaking weird.

My taco cost me a year of my life though! haha That was pretty much all of my deployment money right there...
Maybe the low end DD type drift cars are welded, but I'll bet the pro's run spools. Welded diffs can be a weak link, while spools are pretty freaking tough I hear.

I got a screaming deal on my bumpers and skids, unless maybe you count the gas to drive to Colorado and back, but I got to hang with Ben for half a week and help him out with it where I could. The only part of my lift I bought was the cheapo UCA's and Coils. Everything else was on there when I bought it. The gears w/front locker and tires were pricey though... but are so nice!

I need to sig this part:cool: haha
I am fairly frugal as well. I don't buy too much. Used to be an energy drink or two a day (been energy drink sober for just over a month now) and occassionally eat out with my wife and just buy pretty basic groceries really.
Look like reg cab sliders:eek: They are like the opposite of Cameron's.

no, big savings was money haha bet it was almost 100 bucks cheaper with shipping.

Sig it. that'll be the like..5 time in 4 months i have been quoted in a sig haha

    and opposite of camerons??

yea see..you have dropped more money in it then you think :p haha Plus remember i had a fully built half put together supra..that i sold to fund the rebuild of the truck..so..yea. Plus my lawn business brought in the big bucks man.
