do you not have a DD head unit? if so hook it up to that and don’t bother with the new mirror.

 

looks good. i took those storage boxes out. i had them full, now i have room to put more stuff back there.

i would like bass, but i think i’m just going to get some good door speakers front and back. i use that storage way to much to get read of it all. and have the under seat stuff mostly full.

 

I only have my safety stuff under the drivers back seat. As far as your mirror issue. I would check ebay and see. And zach already tried the putting it into my indash. Uses a completely different connection than what the cam uses.

 

Engrish prease lol. But seriously I think I know what you're asking. And no I don't have any vibrations. But again I do have the subs turned down to where they just produce clean bass. non of that window rattling stuff.

 

Ya, I can't type on the iPhone. My fault... Ya, I don't want window rattling bass either, but I'm glad you didn't have to remove the plastic piece... That's what I was trying to say. My fault... But ya, I upgraded all my door speakers and put the 13tw5 in the back and I love my music now!

Keep the opinions coming on the backup cam. And no Zachary, I don't have a DDin, I'm wanting to put an iPad mini into the dash eventually...

Just the standard one I guess... I don't think my truck was prewired or anything. Ideally I'd like the home link so I could program my garage door opener to it, but that's of little importance...

I am going to do this mod if someone will make me the cable. I guess zach was right.

I would check and see if you have that connector first. Because then you are going to need another connector.

 

Really common. There is a DIY to fix it easily with a soldering gun on here somewhere.

 

If you tow a trailer they are the best thing ever. I tow a camper and can put the ball under the hitch every time it is great.

 

I got mine on a weekend sale and paid 415 shipped I believe. However if you plan on getting one know you might have to cut on it for it to fit right, where your tailgate drops down I had to cut the tubing back to Allow my tailgate to come down. They might have fixed it by now though

nice. i have another hitch, mag light, more rope, a car emergency kid behind the seat that i added more stuff to. tow strap, work gloves, cable and lock to lock stuff in the bed(use it on weekends a lot to lock mower weedeater and back pack blower) sometimes i got my north face jacket back there, a few bungy cords, and other odd stuff.

also there is a way to hook it up to a DD head unit. lots of guys have done it, even guys with ’05 thru ’08 that don’t have cameras, and are not wired for them.

i pe it is nice with hooking up. i can get the ball right in front or right under the the trailer without a camera. but our trailer being 7’ wide helps line it up, and i know how far back it is as well.

 

U keep a kid behind your seat? And he's an emergency kid? Is that like for just in case you run out or can't find your normal kid?
