If you are looking for a professional job, absolutely join linkedin. Even if you HAVE a job, join linkedin. If you have the right things, if you have even basic things people will look at your profile. Send in resume's to people.

 

Do it. What can it hurt? Also look into the railroads like I said. They all need engineers too.

Most jobs are.. unfortunately for me I'm the idiot with a 2.99.... that's why I'm working so hard this semester because if I try for 3 more semesters I can graduate with a 3.25

 

Hardly anyone looks at my linkedin profile. And I have it stacked with info and professional looking. I've had more action from my family members than anyone else.

 

So easy for GPA to go down...not so easy to go up. Mine made a huge improvement last semester though.

 

I've constantly gotten better.. if it wasn't for one fuckstick professor I'd have a 3.04

 

Not looking forward to taking college classes.... Haha

 

Try from the very beginning.. I goofed off my first 3 semesters and I'm regretting it now. My girlfriend has a 3.9 and I have a 2.99.. if I finish out school with 4.0s, I can get a 3.48 and that's it..

Yes.. yes it does.. oh and if you got good grades in high school don't expect the same in college.. I finished high school with a 3.8..

Not trying to scare you just giving you advice I wish I had had when I was a freshman

 

my mentality in highschool was alot different. it was more of this isnt challenging so im not gonna do the work i'll just do enough to pass and yeah that also fucked me lol. going to a community college to save money but i know in the long run they're gonna look back and thats gonna bite me

 

College is just that other step. Shit sucks but you gotta do it.... As long as you take classes seriously you'll do fine.

Two suggestions... Get your core classes out of the way and take them at an easy Community College BUT take classes at a local University. Don't get stuck inside that Community College... You'll regret it

Find a major that is interesting and applies to a career... BUT GET JOB EXPERIENCE.. PC this one really doesn't apply to you because you're already in the AF but still... I have so many friends who can't get jobs because they do not have the experience... Degree and Experience go hand in hand... SMH

 

X2. I had a 3.8 in high school also without hardly even challenging myself. College is a kick in the nuts lol. I have an F following me from calc when I was in engineering which is hurting the GPA. I wish they would look at your major GPA rather than the overall because my major one is a lot higher.

 

On your Resume don't list you QGPA list you major GPA. This is what I will do because the grade will be higher

 

basically it sucks...

and honestly unless the job asks for a GPA you shouldn't put it... let them ask you that way you can explain your GPA for what ever reason
