the foglight mod is super simple...and looks cool too. Takes roughly 10 minutes, counting the walk to the fridge and back for a cold beer at the start and end of the project

Thx, good to know. Which option did you go with (always available, avail. with lights on only, etc) and why?

whatever one goes from I believe the EFI circuit to the leg on the fog relay, it works whenever the key turns to on, and stays working until you turn the key off.

I did this purely for simplicity's sake, and because thats how I had done it on my 07

the piece that you cut off, is that just what clips on to that plastic "cover" that spans the gap between the factory mount position and the headliner to hide the wires for camera etc.?

Yes, exactly. The mirror now sits so high (a good thing!) that the plastic covers are unnecessary. Just tuck plug and wires into headliner.

Just installed L-track in my bed. Very versatile and modular system for tie-downs, fasteners, etc. This is also called Airline Track or Logistics track.

I used Rivnuts (Mcamaster-Carr P/N: 97217A393) for bolting to the bed. This requires a rivnut tool (T shaped tool in second pic), which is a bit expensive, but worth it considering that I'll be bolting a bed seat (pics later) to it for the kids.

I am lucky enough to have the tools/resources to do the bolted-joint analysis and it appears the track will have plenty of strength margin for the uses I have in mind.

    It works great...

Sorry for taking so long to answer . I used 1/4-20 fasteners, and no, not a cert'd mechanic, but an engineer in the aerospace community, so I go with what I know...

OP, did you ever bolt seats in the back? Got any pics? Good job on the rivnuts, saved you from having to work from the bottom of the truck.

Sorry I took so long to answer. Have the seat in right now (goes in every summer). Will take picks tonight and post. Works great.
