I bleed burnt orange and have stuck with the longhorns through some dark periods. And I will continue to do so.
I will watch every second of the remaining gut wrenching and vomit inducing season. I will still cheer for the longhorns but I fear all hope is lost until we get wholesale changes from the top down.
Burn the motherfucker to the ground!! No hope of rebuilding with the current regime.

Personally I think Mack Brown is a good coach.. but being that everyone else is pretty bad and he is the person that chose them then he may need to be replaced as well

In case you've been living under a rock, Alabama visits Texas A&M this weekend.

So after BYU beats up on Texas on Saturday, Paul Finebaum makes a joke on twitter...

    Finebaum.jpg

Some dipshit at Sports Illustrated sees the tweet, and uses it to post a story about Saban going to Texas to talk to them about Mack's job. (You can see the reference to the Finebaum tweet near the bottom of the screen capture.)

    Saban to Texas.jpg

What kind of a fu**-tard a) doesn't understand humor, and b) doesn't realize that a coach with a job doesn't interview for somebody else's job on a Friday during the season?

I'm not a person who calls for people's jobs, and I won't call for this person's.... but whoever ran with this story is a bit too dull to keep a job at SI.

We've already discussed this. I'm surprised Diaz got axed, but then again, this will give Mack a chance to hold onto HC for another three year "rebuilding" period.

He was at one time, but the game has LONG since passed him by. McCoy was the last year talent outplayed the coaching, and its been very apparent since then. I had hope for Harsin, but the good ole boy coddling atmosphere and Harsin's sink-or-swim philosophy didn't mesh. We had damn good warning of Mack's highly questionable decision making skills as early as whatever fucking year that was when he put that disaster known as Simms in instead of Applewhite.

In fact, perhaps the ONLY saving grace Texas has right now is Applewhite. He has the spirit to do away with the coddling and kick some ass. Remember, this is the dude who, at a relatively short 5'11", went screaming and headbutted a OU player. That's the magnitude of spirit Texas needs.

I'm other words, instead of Mack Brown's feel-good-orange-slice-and-juice-box-YMCA-we're-all-winners fail mentality, we need a dick swinging, tobacco chewing, mean ole SOB who will kick the shit out every single team he plays ESPECIALLY Oklahoma. I want our coach to look every other opposing coach in the eye, shove his middle finger in their face and say "SEE YOU NEXT YEAR, PUSSY!"

I would sell my soul for Saban to come coach at Texas. I don't care about the under the table shenanigans he and his bagman partake in, I want to fucking WIN.

If that's the kind of coach you want, it ain't Nick Saban. When he can, he builds a lead that the opponent can't deal with, then eases off the gas. Any time he's ever run up the score it's been against a team that's so bad it can't stop our 3rd team offense running game. I can't remember a time he's disrespected another team or coach.

Eh. There have been rumors about some shady dealings he and what's his face (I'm racking my brain for the guy's name and for the love of God I can't remember) to get recruits to come to Alabama. You have recruits that commit to schools and then all of a sudden decommit and go to Alabama, poor as dirt kids suddenly flush with cash, etc etc... Honesty, I don't really care as nothing has been proven. What's more, the Saban produces and doesn't put up with bullshit and non-hackers. He doesn't even bother celebrating NC wins. He immediately starts focusing on the next year. I love that.

You know exactly what I'm saying.

In all reality I think Patterson from TCU would be a great fit for what we need. And my second choice would be Briles from Baylor.
But it really needs to be a top change. Mack and DeLoss need to ride off into the sunset together.

Eh. Briles would be a consolation prize. I like Patterson a lot though. And Dabo Swinney. He's turned that place around in two years. Besides, with a name like Dabo you know he's tough as nails.

Those are the 2 names I always hear come up when talking about Mack's replacement. I personally really like Patterson, but my favorite coach right now besides Sumlin of course is Charlie Strong. He is a hell of a coach.

Good call in Charlie Strong. I still don't see Briles coming to Texas though.

Lol yup. I'm thoroughly impressed by him. Clemson is wrecking shop. Almost forgot they even had a team.
