Bacon Explosion version 2

    So I took the general idea of the bacon explosion but decided that the sausage probably could be replaced. So Ive decided to re-invent it.

    The necessary ingredients. Bacon of course, Beef Tenderloin, Blue Cheese, and Roasted Garlic, and a little bit of liquid smoke(it was monsoonin' so BBQ was out).

    by the looks of it.. it looks like it was oven baked anywhere from 375-400 degrees F for approx 30-40 min, probably less time for the the one in the pic because its medium rare. i guess it should be cooked slowly for a long time to get an even cook

    I preheated the oven at 300 degrees. Cooked it for about 1 hr 15 mins. Bacon wasn't as crispy as I wanted it so I broiled it a few minutes a side until it reached desired crispiness.

    I would recommend instead of the preroasted garlic(if you do use garlic) use raw garlic. The garlic taste was almost bitter and overpowering. Should have thought of that before I roasted the garlic.

    roasted garlic needs to be creamy like peanut-butter.

    I put a bunch of whole garlic into a pot with oil...med-high heat(until cloves are soft).....Drain the oil...then put softened garlic cloves into a blender....Smoooooth creamy garlic!!! Awesome for pastas and asian foods

    This may sound like like blasphemy (I like me some garlic), but it looks like maybe you just used a little too much garlic. I put slivers of raw garlic into pot roast before I cook it. It works wonders for the flavor, but if you happen to catch a bite of one of those slivers, you most certainly know it.

    I may have to try your version....I think my wife will approve of this one. I'll probably substitute Feta for the blue cheese, though.
