I think you are correct. It's hard to tell if his comments are geared towards firing his team up or he really does feel that way. Even though I really despise the Visor, he is a straight shooter who tells it like it is.

 

He's just trying to point fingers after he lost the game with that call 4th and goal at the 1. Option, lol.

 

He does that shit all the time. How many times have you heard him say we will be luck to win another game/ I just hope we can beat wofford next week.

Don't know that I follow the "Get Kirby Smart and a great OC will follow" logic I've seen a few times. Smart's been our DC for six years. Without looking it up, can anybody name our OC? Or the OC we had before that? Or the one before that?

Where's our "powerhouse OC" that Smart's supposed to bring along?

Doug Neussmeier, and I only know that because I know he came from Washington lol. He's no slouch.

In reference to Smart, Saban is also a hell of a defensive mind so I'm sure that doesn't hurt either.

 

Clemson got a DC from Saban's Alabama...He's not at Clemson anymore if that tells you anything.

I could live with that. It would be an interesting hire at the very least. I don't think he would be any worse than Mack and Petrino would come at a savings (at first) too. At a minimum Petrino will hire hot "assistants" and everyone wins.
