Anyone know if these 15" wheels will fit my 2001 first gen?

Both wheels are 15" x 8" with 6 x 5.5 bolt pattern. Backspace is 3.75 on both and -19mm offset.

The reason I ask is because I've heard that only certain 15" wheels will fit our trucks. So I don't want to buy something that's not gonna clear the calipers or whatever else. Also, do wheels have to be "hub centric"?

    Thanks

As long as the back spacing is 4.5" or less you're fine. 1st gens came with 15" stock wheels for a long time so no fear it's more of a 2nd gen issue when clearing brake calipers.

It's much better if they're hubcentric, because the stress of the weight of the vehicle is centered on the hub of wheel instead of the lug nuts.

I'm not sure why this is but I cannot find any wheels that are "hub centric"

Even the ones that cost $250 a piece aren't hub centric. I'm only looking at ones I would like, but still. I must have looked at over 100 different brands and styles of wheels and can't find one that is hub centric.

Moe, have you checked out our F5 model? It's somewhat similar to what you posted above, but our wheels are alloy and they only come in 16x8. They're lighter, stronger and are hubcentric.

We have them available with either 4.5" bs or 3.5" bs.

I appreciate the help. I'm looking for a 15" specifically, I like the look. Although those scs wheels are nice!

I tried these wheels today from a local seller with tires and the fronts rubbed the calipers on my 03 4x4 Taco.

They have the same sizing and backspacing as those craigers you listed, so just a heads up. I'm contemplating trying a small spacer to clear the caliper, but it definitely hits the caliper.

Thanks for looking out. I'm glad I didn't order them yet. I'll probably do the same and go to a shop and try them on before ordering.

Did you try anything different to see if they can fit? I'm still researching and have become more confused. I see so many variables that work for some and don't work for others. Some say that a small .25" wheel spacer did the trick. Also, Some say that shaving part of the caliper by 1/8th" is all that was needed. If either of those are an option for me then I don't mind doing a little modification as long as the wheels fit safely. I'm still looking at the same cragar or us wheels. But after researching I also came across the 15" wheels from Wheelers off-road. They say those wheels are meant and made to clear the 01-04 tacoma calipers/ rotors. Those would be my last resort because it's not really the style I'm wanting but I do like them.

Hey man, sorry just getting back to you now. After some research, I went back to the seller the next day with some generic 1/4" spacers for the front and low and behold it worked! Still had plenty of turns on the factory studs/lugs to feel safe. Personally I'd rather go with a small spacer as opposed to grinding the caliper, but that's just me. Hope this helps!

Awesome, glad to hear it worked, plus they look good! I think I'll go ahead and order the set I'm wanting and hopefully they will work. Thanks for the feedback!
