The FJ and the 4runner have basically the same engine. They have the Dual VVT-I while the Tacoma's just have the single VVT-I. Not sure it's much of a difference but they are rated at 260hp.

Your dad needs to get his foot out of the throttle ;) I average 17 mpg Hwy and I run about 2700 rpm at 75 mph. How wide are your Dad's tires though?

I gotta go weigh my truck! maybe tomorrow i'll go to the dump scale and have it weighed. I get a solid 19 going 70ish on flats. Everything else is about 16.

FreidTaco, I'll have to come visit soon to swap rides and BS!

Also, Bobby is shipping me my right tent this week so the Bachelor that is on my truck is up for grabs NOW. Monte, did you have anyone in mind that wanted it? Also I have a pair of relentless bed bars for a 2nd gen taco that can go with the tent if the buyer is interested.

When people say Hwy they typically mean, doing 75 mph on the interstate. If you are talking 55mph on the hwy we should pull a little better but I couldn't give you a number since I rarely drive that for very many miles.

Are those bed bars the set up in your sig pic? I am searching through your build thread looking at how that setup looks on your shortbed.

I drove from Idaho to Colorado and back. On the way back I set the cruise for 5 mph over and just let the truck do it's thing, so half the trip I drove 70 and the other half was 80mph. Lots of hills and a little flat and I averaged 17 mph. That was all on 91 oct with all of my current armor. Weighed the truck empty (but on a full tank of gas) right after that trip and it weighed 5440lbs. So with my wife and I and gear in there it was easily over 6000 lbs for that 450 mile trip.

I just put the cruise control on for the most part and I'm still averaging in the high 15's. Running 265/70-17's. I am running the UCON though so maybe that is what the issue is. Its programed so that everytime it goes into open loop the AFR drops down to 11.2 - 12.2. That would explain the extra fuel I use and the nice smell it produces according to the leg 2 group. :p

That would probably do it. haha:jellydance:

Now you just need to remove your cats and...

Also I thought you typically wanted a leaner mixture to produce more power (obviously not too lean or your blow up your motor). 11.2 is pretty rich isn't it?

My Taco came with the Toyota branded toolbox so that is what I use. My hi-lift barely fits in it.

Cats are already gone. DTLT opened all of the way. More fuel = more power.

Yea it produces a bit of a could everytime :p haha Im sure the UConn is why. But its a good think IMO.

    This.

He is as wide open as you can get with mufflers. both intake and exhaust. Also why he only shows 6.5psi as there is no back pressure so it really shows less boost but there is more flow.
