so im not sure if this is the proper venue for a little rant but hopefully i dont get too much shit for this, if nobody wants to hear about this a moderator can step in.

all right my colorado friends, whos got a room for rent or knows of someone with one, if possible would like the place to have a garage for a few things (inflatable boat, camping gear, mountain bike, and if the gate to the backyard isnt wide enough, possibly my atv too)

I have a 5x8 enclosed utility trailer so i can put it in there if theres parking available, but my jackass landlord (who lives here) has officially gone off the deep end. Hes got 2 dogs and is trying to blame me for getting em sick, even though i accidently spilled some copenhagen on the carpet AFTER they got sick, and hes trying to raise my rent by $100 to cover "utilities" .. for history on that we tried a bunch of home remedies cause the first dog who got sick cleared up, the second one couldnt drink no water or nothing, so me, another roommate, and his girl took him to the vet cause hes so cheap and our living room was basically unusable.

Other roommate even asked me if it was this much trouble for me to take him to the vet when dog #2's jaw got swoll up, i said he was out the country, he looked fucked up one day, next thing we know hes dropping food and cant eat, and i was like well he asked me to take care of the dogs, so does he want a dead dog or a vet bill?

some history on the rent issue, guy dropped probably close to 10k in the last month getting into what im sure is an arranged marriage ... ive met his ex cause she works at a bank we both so happen to use, and according to a guy who used to live here, shes the "wrong kind of indian" (we are talking middle east not native american)

Heres the scoop on where i live. Ive made friends with numerous neighbors around here, and the guy grew up in this house so a lot of them who grew up around here know him too. (he lives here too). They all say the house has gone to shit since their family bought the place.

    Problems?

Garage door doesnt work unless you hit the button and run over to it and help it up or down

Dryer? -- you have to load it light and even then you have to run it twice to get stuff dry ... furthermore, i found one that actually works up in thornton for $25 and he didnt want to go get it because "it looked old" ... come on man if it actually dries stuff who cares? (and he dont got no truck do i woulda gone and got the thing)

Most infuriating part about the whole thing? Guy who hes known "forever" who used to live here (who used to complain and send mass texts out to the whole house and i almost got in a fight with him in the garage on st pats over it last year) got out of late payments, not paying, etc, (no ive always been current if youre wondering) cause they grew up together,

Furthermore on that note, hes got some new guys in here. I dont mind a party on the weekends, but every night till at LEAST 2 am, downstairs, loud as hell, (cant sleep even with the door shut its that insane), drinking (yes i drink but i go to sleep at a reasonable hour, and on the off chance i dont you wont hear anything out of me unless i fall down), and loud movies on the surround system.

id say its time for you to live on your own, then you wont have to worry about any of those problems. Sure it will cost more probably but in my opinion its worth it in the long run.

I agree, been there done that with roommates and shitty landlords. You will be so happy when you get your own place. I moved out on my own about 9 years ago and will never ever have a roommate again.
