    Got a few, but not enough!
    Well I am going to be doing the experiment/install solo tomorrow early morning I guess since one of my friends ditched out on me. I am going to go the compression route. I have heard other people state that if I go full 3/2 on the lift that I am going to want to get aftermarket UCAs to correct suspension geometry/alignment. I believe for the very same reasons as Tacomas. I may go 1.75 in the front and put the 1.5 spacer in the back and see how it settles out... Let's just hope I have all the necessary tools and what not.

    Anybody know a lifetime alignment in Bozeman or of a relatively low cost place that does a good job?

    After running from place to place to get tools to deal with sticky bolts and the various breaks to eat. I now have the lift put on my truck as of late last night! Lets just hope all is correct and sound... I plan on getting an alignment later today.

    Post up your alignment sheet so I can see what they set yours at.

    I am curious, maybe its different for skinny, skinny tires. On the other hand, it could be your level of tolerance for wander is higher than mine. I would have to drive your truck on the highway to be able to measure that.

    After Joey drove mine, I thought you would have said you wanted to drive it too. And if I had known you were proud of the way yours drove even tho caster was low, I would have driven yours just to see for myself. :)

    then after the first leg..my truck was getting vibes again and just a tiny touch of wander again..and from other trips..

    Moose killed in Hyalite area, tips sought in poaching case

    Fish Wildlife and Parks officials say a cow moose was illegally killed by poachers near Moser Creek Road in the Hyalite area.
    On Sunday wardens received a call that a calf was near a dead cow moose and could be heard crying out.
    While responding to the call, wardens were kept away from the cow's body by the calf when it acted aggressively. Rubber, non-lethal bullets were used to keep the animal away after attempts to haze the calf away with branches and rocks were unsuccessful.
    The dead cow had been shot twice and was likely shot from the road.
    Officials believe the incident occurred sometime between Friday afternoon and early Saturday morning.
    Moose hunting season does not open until Sunday, Sept. 15.
    "Killing and wasting an animal like this is stealing from the people of Montana," said Warden Brian Lloyd. "It's selfish and we take it personally."
    Anyone with information about this crime is urged to call 800-TIP-MONT (800-847-6668). Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
    The calf in this case is at least a year old and appeared to be very healthy. It has a fair chance at survival without its mother.

    Hey guys,

    got my alignment done after putting on 5100's on all corners, setting the front at 2.5 and adding a wheeler's 3 leaf progressive HD AAL. Truck drives pretty much the same way it did before the lift, that is to say it likes to pull left a bit, due to the SAI on the left wheel I guess.

    Left
    Camber 1.0
    Caster 1.3
    Toe 0.08
    SAI 10.7 this is out of spec
    Inc Angl 11.8


    Right
    Camber 0.9
    Caster 1.4
    Toe 0.10
    SAI 11.6
    Inc Angl 12.6

    Cross camber 0.1
    Cross caster -0.1
    Cross SAI -0.9
    Total Toe 0.18

    Any thoughts on what to do for that out of spec SAI on the front left? I think I will be getting new UCAs in the future because i am not thrilled with the space between the UCA and the coil at full droop, its pretty tight in there.

    1 degree of positive camber is a bit high. Should be closer to 0. Toe is fine and caster for that matter is OK but in the long run, I got tired of the twitchy feel on the highway when my caster was less that +2.5 degrees.

    I will have to post my readings up here to see what you guys think. Mine are alright, but would like caster maxed out, a small amount of +toe, and Camber to be closest to 0. I dont know if I like having my SAI numbers out of spec. I was told it is to help counteract the grading on most Montana roads, but i dont like having the steering wheel slightly one way when on flat roads... I am use to the true straight feel on flat roads.

    I will post my alignment results up here soon.
