You can get the music from anywhere. It's just pushed through iTunes. You just import it in iTunes. Not as flexible as an Android phone for sure but not impossible.

Most iPhones (>90% IIRC) are using the same version of the latest iOS though, certain droids only get the latest update from google, at first.. and others get no updates even though google promises it to them. Look at this chart showing almost 60% of all droid phones are using (at LEAST) 2.5 year old software.

The LTE iphone is much faster than the 4S. The 4S is HSPA+ on AT&T but it's 3G everywhere else, which is why it's slow.

I'm more into Android than iPhones but AT&T's LTE network is screaming fast. I've gotten speeds of up to 51mbps on more than one occassion (usually in the 20-30s though). It's not in as many places as Verizon but it's getting there. Best I ever got on HSPA+ was about 6 mbps but it was usually closer to 1.5mbps. My wife's 4 averages about 1 mbps.

TMobile's 4G LTE is pretty good too and they have HSPA+ as a fallback. Just about any LTE network is a huge improvement over 3G. You should see huge gains with TMobile if you're not too rural (Verizon is the best for that case).

Really? My 3G still works with my Imac from 2006. My 1999 Clamshell ibook still works as well. OTH, I've never needed support on them so I can't speak to that. I could be the exception.

It's usually not Google's fault though. It's the manufacturers of the phones. Unless the phone uses pure android, it has to be modified by the manufacturer with drivers that work with the new OS in addition to fixing their own interface software to work with it (e.g. Motorola Blur). People on XDA do all kinds of hacks to get the newest Android to work with their phones. However, there's usually a lot that doesn't work because of the way the manufacturer modified the code.

Can't wait to get the 5S. I've been rocking the 4 for over two years and it's finally slowing down. Couldn't manage my job without it. My first Apple product was the IIe back in the early '80's.

I've had an iPhone 4 for almost 3 years now. And have had zero issues. And it WORKS everytime I need it to.

My thing with the android phones is this, I love all the customization and uniqueness one can have but I've had 3 (HTC Eris which was trash, moto droid 2, droid 3) and they just were not reliable. Can't tell you how many times I went to make a phone call or use the phone and it was just stuck. God forbid I needed to make an urgent/ emergency call I'd have to take the battery out and wait for it I boot up. I just couldn't stand it anymore.

Ended up with a blackberry curve that I'd probably still have if the screen didn't crap out. And the ended up with the iPhone I've got now. Also about the music I've probably gt somewhere close to 1500 songs on my phone and I probably paid for $20 worth. The rest are just downloaded online and imported into iTunes. Simple shit to do.

So what it boiled down to for me was RELIABILITY.

I'm an avid user on XDA and have been for years. There are some genius MFs there.. lol. The real complaint - lack of support for the (android) device after you buy it

Apps not working has to do with you downloading a shitty app. Poor service has to do with your carrier. The S of every iphone is always a small upgrade from the last. Something new to show people and give people who didn't upgrade the last time, something new to get. I've never owned an S, always its predicessor.

I reluctantly switched to an iPhone, only because they didn't have any razr's in stock and my phone was broke. Haven't looked back since. I've had four different models of iPhones. Each worry free. Turn on when I hit the button. Takes great pics. Makes calls when I tell it to. Texts when I hit send. Syncs to my moto helmet via bluetooth everytime. Only had one issue with my old 3G. Something to do with the SIM card. Called apple support. They sent me a new one, and told me to throw the old one in the box the new one came in. Too easy.
I have an old iPod classic with thousands of songs that stays in the truck. I plug it in, it plays everytime. Old iPod nano for gym. I plug it in, it plays. Except when I forget to charge it, then in a rage I usually launch it across the gym. Pick it up and throw it in my bag. Charge it up that night and it works fine next day.
MacBook computer. Given me four years of problem free service. I can't stress that enough. Four years, no issue. No reloading operating software, or any software for that matter. Never, I repeat, never had to call apple support for it. Is still just as fast as day one, and I use it extensively daily. Old dell laptop made it a year before my fist fell through the screen. Next laptop, can't remember brand, made it just as long before it tripped off my desk at a rapid pace and shattered against the wall.

I have electronic rage. I like my electronics to work everytime I turn it on and need to do something. No freezing, no gliches, no unexpected closing of programs. When they don't, rage sharks swim. I made the switch to apple bc their shit works, and works well. I don't give two shits if my phone stops playing a video when I look away, or that I could have access to a billion apps on an android if the thing doesn't work consistently.

My brother had two droid phones. Both consistently sucked and functions stopped working. He now has an iPhone5 and is 100% happy.
Mom had a non apple tablet, it lasted about 6 months before it went ape shit. Bought her an iPad two years ago. She's retired and is on it from sun up to sun down every day. It goes through at least one full charge a day it gets used so much. Two years later it still does everything consistently without issue.
I could go on, but there's no need. I think you get the point.

If you want the latest and great gizmo with useless features and a witty anti-apple commercial then maybe apple isn't for you. If you want a product that will consistently work everytime either bc you don't have the time or patient for errors, then I'd suggest looking at an apple product.

The first Android phone I had was HTC Nexus One. It only worked reliably for about 10 months. I switched to an Xperia Arc after that. I still have it, and it works like the day I got it (its been over 3 years). I always hear about screens cracking on Iphones, which is one thing that scares me away from them. Also, at the rate android phones come out, Iphones always seem to be behind when comparing specs. I just got a tablet this weekend (Nexus 7), so I cant see myself upgrading my phone any time soon. Maybe when the Iphone 6 comes out, Ill give them a shot.
