Sorry if there's a thread already but i checked and didn't find one.

FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT KNOW:

Today on 9/11/2013, there's alot going down at the capitol.

To start off the AMPAC (American Muslim Political Action Committee) was granted a permit to march on washington DC on this day. In this link they explain their reasons for this march and what they expect.
    IN THEIR WORDS:
"We at AMPAC (American Political Action Committee) are planning an historic event for 9.11.13 where one million Muslims will march to Washington D.C. and demand that our civil rights be protected by our government.
We are demanding that laws be enacted protecting our 1st amendment . We are asking President Obama to fulfill his promise from his first campaign for Presidency of a transparent government. Lastly we are asking for the release of the 9/11 commission report to the American people.
The group seems to rationalize the date chosen for their march by claiming that the media has been lying to the American people with regard to the role Islam played in the 9/11 attacks:
On 9.11.01 our country was forever changed by the horrific events in New York. The entire country was victimized by the acts done on that day. Muslim and Non Muslim alike were traumatized but we as Muslims continue 12 years later to be victimized by being made the villains. To this day every media outlet and anti Islamic organization has committed slanderous and libel statements against us as Muslims and our religion of Islam.

Yet our Government either sits idly by and does nothing to protect our freedoms or it exacerbates the problem with its constant war on terrorism in Islamic countries, congressional hearings on Islam in America, and its changes to the NDAA law.

These lies told to the American population has made it impossible for us to do true Dawa. Why do we have to defend our religion while doing Dawa? Why can’t we just share the perfection of the Quran and the beauty of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SWS)?"

NOW: In return, a facebook page with the ideas of getting 2 million bikers to march on DC on the same date was established. However they were denied their permit. Regardless this morning they left their homes and headed towards the capital. The latest post i found stated LEO's have reported around 800,000 bikers have come to this calling. There are countless youtube videos being uploaded as i type. Feel free to post up more pics, videos, and your ideas on this topic. VIDEO of spokeswoman for the biker rally.

That's what I love about this, it just makes me feel like a proud American. I would love to see this in person. It's no where near the 1 million/ 2 mil mark, but the bikers outnumber the protesting Muslims by an insane amount.

It was originally billed as “The Million Muslim March,” though organizers later revised it to the “Million American March Against Fear.”

I've never seen a million homos in focus's want to get together. Not even a million Tacomas. But Harley guys will band together for anything they stand for. Sturgis, Milwaukee rally, Daytona bike week, Veterans Day, and all kinds of other events.

At approximately 1 p.m., “2 Million Bikers to DC” Facebook page co-founder Belinda Bee posted that police have counted nearly one million bikers are on the streets of Washington.

It's sad that the American government is soooo terrified of hurting someone's feelings that they are allowing the infiltration of these muslims into our capital on this day. They will most likely become very powerful in the states one day because everyone is afraid to say "no" to them about anything.

Americans are starting to wake up and stand up to the forces that would attempt to destroy our home. These good people will not let that happen. Neither will I.

I'm all for standing up for what you believe in, but the whole harley thing just reminds me of South Park. They're not terrorists marching on the Capitol, they're people who are tired of every America associating Muslims with terrorists...what if every Catholic person were immediately associated with being a child molester? I'm sure they'd be pissed off too. I'm not religious, I was born in California, but I am of middle eastern descent and I have to deal with the fact that everybody IMMEDIATELY thinks of the word "terrorist" when they find out where I'm from. If you don't think that's true, just ask how many times I have to hear it from friends and coworkers just joking about it. It doesn't bother me much, but the fact that the jokes are made means that there is a strong association between Islam and Terrorism in the heart of most Americans.

Islam is the largest religion in the world. There are 14,000 members of Al Queda. You do the math and see if that association is justified.

Timing? Yeah, coulda been a better day. I completely agree... :oldglory:
