I'll be honest, I have mixed feelings about this. Some may take offence about the date they chose, and I don't really agree with it, but I'm sure it was picked to have the most impact for their cause. I don't blame Muslims for 9-11, I blame the extremists, who use the religion to scare people into fighting for their cause.

Living in America, which is made up of many different nationalities who follow different religions, as an American, you have to learn how to respect that. That's what makes us a great country.

Also, I'm guessing the reason for the permit denial, was local law enforcement and government are trying to keep the crowds down, and the possibility of violence. I bet if the bikers applied for it first, they would of got it, and the Muslims denied.

I'm guessing my opinion with start a :crapstorm: but just throwing my opinion out there. I'm a proud American, and love my country.

I'm praying this will fucking help wake up some people and jar some heads loose!

I've been to the Sturgis rally 4 times and the bikers bond is fucking stronger than cement.

+1 to who said the government gave the Muslims permits because they were scared to tell them no.
I hope the 1,000,000 harleys hold those motors at redline to drone out any speaches they try to give

Well they were denied a permit because "it's a weekday, they want to keep streets open"

Why is that surprising? Half these people waving American flags would be flipping the fuck out sitting in traffic because of them, while trying to get home.

Tell that to the people who live in the cities under absolute gridlock when the current resident of the White House comes to town on a campaign fund raiser!

I'd rather sit in traffic knowing its due to a million patriotic supporters of our rights etc... Than sitting there knowing some dumb log truck took a corner too fast. Lol just sayin

Then again... I'm a biker so I'm a little biased.

The whole point of America is freedom, saying something like this is just stupid and racist.. I'm all for remembering 9/11 and the events on that day 12 years ago. I also happen to remember what are forefathers fought for and that was equality.

Sure they could have done it on a different day but isnt the whole point of being an American, being free? and being allowed to make decisions for yourself

I wont take it any further so this thread can stay open but I have a feeling it will get political and get locked, I hope not though

Edit: Sidenote: I also think the gov't should have permitted the bikers as well

Think about it though....it is 9/11

I mean people will want to do what they want on THE day of......for the meaning.

I would want to do a 9/11 rememberance ON 9/11 not 9/12 etc.
