But I can't take pictures if its raining!!! :goingcrazy:
It was still a good trip but I was about ready to call it quits on Monday...then the sun broke out. I'll have some pics later hopefully. My tent is drying out in the driveway and my 2nd load of laundry is going

Oh yeah, I missed the bikers this year...last year there was a huge group that came through MT on their way to NYC. Sad that it takes something so horrible to bring out the patriotism in some people

Stopped bleeding :D It's ok. I'll survive and it'll heal in a few days...

The bikers stay patriotic most of the year for military funerals and other things. It's the general population that hides it most of the time.

Of course it has trusses and there's already an issue lol

House was spec'd for 2x6 walls with brick vaneer...they cut costs by going with an 8" poured foundation= not enough bearing for the 2x6 walls, which means the trusses that were designed for 5 1/2" bearing will not have enough bearing either lol

This is the fourth house they have done this on in a row

:anonymous: mmmm fresh pumkin pie and muffins

Thankfully wasn't much pain involved. More annoying trying to keep the hand dry

I have no patience for the people who call AFTER they've done something unexpected and ask "is this going to be OK?" If you didn't know for sure then why did you do it without asking?!?!

Today I had a contractor call 4 times within an hour asking about stuff (he's never worked with us before) and I was more than happy to answer his questions because he was smart enough to ask if it was OK before doing anything.

But if the concrete is already done....

    Why? Because people are: A) uninformed B) inexperienced C) cheap-assed SOB's

Never been a big fan of pumpkin....but pumpkin cheesecake?!?!? There's a place here that makes the most amazing pumpkin cheesecake. I've tried to duplicate their recipe but no luck. And now that I'm gluten free I can't have it :pout:

Yup, and the footings have only been spec'd for an 8" wall too so they are technically insufficient to support the load

    EXACTLY!

Its like .... well, we're going to cut some corners to save some money here so we did this. Is that alright? We still want our granite counter tops and gold plated door knobs so we're going to scrimp on the foundation, etc....
No. We're going to have to have that (re)engineered.
Add in the time of the structural engineers (which isn't cheap  ) and new materials to fix what ever was F'ed up and you'll be lucky if you come in below the original estimate.

    I guess.... silly people :D

Never had pumpkin cheese cake.... off to google to look for recipe. I won't eat it year round, but a pie or two (between the holidays) lasts me all year. You just need to find a GF recipe.
