    ^Great car when it's working.

When it's not working, well... look up "Audi service position". The 150k warranty is very much a necessity.

Not according to JD Power. Audi reliability is worst of the trio, at least in the first 3 years. Porsche is between Lexus and Toyota.

I'm on my second one, and that hasn't been my experience at all. It does depend on which model and which engine you get though.

Haters gonna hate. I know pleanty of people with audis that have had no issues. One of my very good friends has an s4 with over 150k on it. If you take care of them, they last. Every company has their flaws, even Toyota.

Sure, but Audi has more flaws. ;) Anyway, not your problem for the next 150k. Enjoy your car!

No offense OP, but Audi's are pretty terrible cars. Sexy as hell, but its basically a volkswagen with extra chrome, which are the worst cars on the market

A sedan (benz / audi) and a pickup truck had lots of overlap as far as utility. U could commute and drive in foul weather in both. Why not have two cars that are further apart use wise like ur original plan, the truck for DD'ing and life and have the P-Car for the rest.

Doesn't seem like they are hating, Everyone agrees it's a beautiful car but have shown statistical evidence that they are not good long run cars. Don't confuse advice you don't want to hear as "hating".

I personally love the S5's and would gladly own one with low miles and warranty... But it would have to have low miles and a warranty like yours for me to consider it as I agree with everyone else that Audi's are not commonly known to be the most reliable.

I have several friends with various Audi's (TT, 3 A4's, 2 S4's), The DIY'ers have gotten the audi service position down to a science for having to do it so much.

You obviously have some reasons for disliking Audi, possibly some of them legitimate, but I'm sure most of them are based on ignorance of the brand, but calling them "TERRIBLE" cars is just plain idiotic.

I would love to know what real world experience you have with them that supports your calling them terrible......or do you just want to act like a child and call me stupid again?

    wut.

Have you ever driven an upper level Audi? Obviously not because you posted this.

    Trolololo!

I've heard they're pretty reliable for Audi's standards. Don't the bi turbo v6's blow through the stock turbos within like 60k miles (not a problem because it gives you an excuse to upgrade:D)?

I will say the old B5 engines sound absolutely amazing though, as do the new supercharged V6's. We have a B8 at work and I seriously love that car. It's an automatic but it rev matches the downshifts like an R8, pretty awesome.

I had a 2005 SL600 for a while. To be honest it was kind of like "that 80's car" in terms of creature comforts, but the faster-than-light drive made up for that a bit.
