Hey guys I'm a super newb with mechanical stuff but I'm learning and trying. I've done a months worth of research and bought some stuff just need some final tips...

I bought a set of 5100 shocks for my 2009 access cab trd Offroad

I have 4 leafs in the back (Canadian)

Would the 1.75 setting be getting me somewhat level?

And do I understand correct that I would want to add a leaf in rear if I went with the 2.5 setting?

I just got 265/75/16 duratracs and hope to get the look I crave...

How long (shop time) does it take to install the 5100's? Just so I have a idea so I don't take a shitty quote.

Thanks for all the help this forum has given... I'm so stoked to finally be leveling my truck.

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
Measure between the center line of the rear wheel and your fender in the back. Then do the front. The difference is what you'd like to set the 5100's at. I did an aal on a 3 leaf and set mine at 1.75. A tad bit of rake, but looks great. I did my own shocks all the way around and took 8-9 hrs with home tools and a crappy spring compressor. But I think it is somewhere in the 3-4 hr shop labor time.

    Thx for the reply.

    I don't mind a little rake...

Would the 2.5 setting with no aal (tsb only) be front high?

Also would the 2.5 setting make my 265/75/16 tires look too small?

Ye true say... Prolly the smallest ones available would be best hey?

Wouldn't most people not recommend spacers if not needed? I like the look of em though ...

ye hey... i think i like the look of the spiders...

im thinking 1.75" setting up front for my billy's with the 4 leaf pack in back should look good with 265/75/16 tires?

or will i need a aal and the 2.5" to make the tires not fill the wheel well so bad?

I have an appointment next week to install my 5100's and tires

I'm praying my truck isn't nose high with the 1.75" setting up front and just tsb in back...

I'm guessing longer rear shocks would be needed if I had to put a aal in there?

Some people come out nose high some have rake ... I hope I didn't screw this up ...

I have my Billy's set to .85" with Eibach coils which are said to add about 1.5" themselves with an AAL in the rear and mine sets .5" higher in the rear than the front so i'm sitting almost dead level. I don't think you will have to worry about just adding the Bilsteins to 1.75" being nose high with how much the nose is already lowered but post us a pic when you're done.

Oh I will... Thx for the info!

I will be wanting to do what u have in the future, what else do I need other than coilovers and a aal?

I'm really hoping I'm not nose high with the 1.75 setting... Mainly worried when I have a load... Which is not often, lol... So ya...

Fugg I'm so stoked for this make over ... I need wheels now lol, doh

More than likely when you have a load you are going to be nose high depending on how high heavy it is, but you're not going to be riding around with a load all the time so that isn't that big of a deal.
