One way we could run the voting is just divide the number of submissions for each generation by 6, and have 6 poll threads, winner of each poll makes it into the calendar? Then you'd have 12 polls running at once though, and people might all just go vote in the first 3 or 4 and then lose interest.

I will be willing to post this thread (Slightly altered) in the 1st gen section.

Ok, so the plans have started for a 2014 TacomaWorld calendar. This thread is for submission of 1st generation Tacoma photos (only). Here are some basic ground rules:

    1. ONE submission per user
    2. Users must post a photo of their own vehicle.
    3. Absolutely no Photoshopped photos!
    4. Please keep BS and comments to a minimum! There will be a voting thread later!
    6. Tacoma trucks only!

Submissions must be received by 12:01 am October 13, 2013 (one month from now)
After all submissions have been received, we will have a contest for users to vote and pick the 6 best 1nd gen pictures, which will be featured in the 2014 calendar!

The one truck (1st and second gen combined) with the highest number of total votes will be featured on the cover!

Should say the 12 trucks...? Personally I'd rather run the 1st gen one myself :D but I'm biased. We definitely need to wait for the go-ahead from tcBob and/or the mods.

It says the one truck because we would have one photo on the front cover. That would be the one truck that had the greatest TOTAL number of votes out of all 12 trucks. This way the #1 truck would actually be able to submit a 2nd photo for the cover shot. Kind of a way to reward them for the #1 vote.

I also thought about a TW calendar.

I'd be willing to lend my photography services to anyone who would like to take pictures to submit as long as they are a reasonable distance from me.

how about adding an inset of each truck of its rear end?

some trucks may be fully modded all the way around and would be cool to showcase the complete truck instead of just one angle...

back when CustomTacos.com was in its prime, they came up with a calendar and with some of the lowered trucks that had the custom rear roll pans and custom interiors could have benefited from showing a glimpse of the details you could not see from the primary angle...

    just a thought...

Perhaps when the final pics are submitted the owner could submit an inset pic of their choice, if they wanted one. Or Photoshop their own inset picture into their finally submission. I am ready to get this rolling. the faster we do this the better since the end of the year creeps up on you before you know it.

Still need tcBob on board before we try to market it. If we could get the mods to change the title of the thread to "Official TW calendar thread" that would be nice. I'm going to be gone this weekend w/out access to internet, and next week I will be traveling most of the week, so as soon as we can get it going would be good. If not Sunday night or Monday morning, I may not have the web til next Thursday or later.

Check my build thread...too much to list.
If it got the point of having too much pics you could always place multiple photos per month if you get someone creative enough to do it. Like make a category per month. Example: January would be rock crawling, Feb would be LT, March could be street shots etc...
