    I've had to go in front of a judge over a situation very similar to this. It was when I lived on the East Coast. A local Jeep club president claimed he had permission for the club to operate on a large, undeveloped piece of commercial property. Turns out he didn't, and myself and 21 other vehicle operators were ticketed by the local authorities when we showed up on the property (they checked the club's website and knew we were showing up that day). The club president admitted to the judge his lie, and requested that the charges against the members be dropped and that he be held responsible. Luckily, that is what happened. That was the last time I went onto any property without knowing the law and ensuring I was operating within it.

    Thought I'd throw the legal piece into the mix.
