It's offical! I'm now a proud owner of a 2010 TRD Off Road 4X4 MT! Now.... I need some new wheels/tires. I've read through a bunch of threads on sizing but does anyone have a similiar Tacoma that they've kept stock and just put some new tires on? I want the biggest that'll fit and also some recommendations on brands. I live in Western Mass so we get snow most of the year and I also plan on some off roading, but I do drive about 20 miles to work most days. My friend has Mickey Thompson MTZs and mentioned her rims had backspacing and not to get wheel adapters when I do find the tires I like.. but she drives a Jeep. :help:

I have a 2010 4WD TRD OR, double cab with all stock suspension and no lift etc.. auto transmission though. I recently put Toyo Open Country AT2 in 265/75/16. They seem to do well off road so far, but I lost about 1.5mpg on my gas mileage.

I also have Toyo Open Country AT2s. I think they are a great all around tire. And also 265/75R16 is what size you're looking for.

+ 1 on the duratrac's. I put BFG's on my truck, and was at walmart the other day, and they had the duratrac's on sale. 700 dollars out the door mounted and balanced. Compare that to 220 per tire paid for the BFG's. Check Wallyworld.

Are you 100% sure you got Duratracs? Wal-mart sells a knock off version of the Duratrac. That seems WAY cheap.

Anyway, +3 on the Duratracs. They are awesome all around....get great reviews for winter driving and look awesome!

+4 on Duratracs. I ran 265/75/16 on Prerunner. They rode good, performed well on ranch. I aired them up to 42 and saw no real drop in MPGs. I think people who say they do are not compensating for the larger diameter. I have never seen Duratracs at Wally World. Typically the Duratracs run a little less than the BFGs. They will go on my 2013 when the BFGs wear out.

didnt buy, but the guy ran me a quote. looking at it now, it was probably for a set of the 245's. 265's knock the price up a bunch. Dude gave me a quote, on paper, and I lost it.
