43 megapixels on a phone? Talk about some detailed junk shots! :p

Megapixels isn't always what makes a picture good. Lots of time its software doing a lot of the work vs the CCD sensor.

Example.. I have a 7.1mp Cannon Point and shoot. The pics are amazing quality, even when printing large prints (10x13)

My dad has a Panasonic 14mp point and shoot. His is 2 years newer than mine. His pic's are grainy and not that great. My dad would argue the same thing "it has more megapixles than yours", doesn't matter. The CCD is one of the key factor when it comes to cameras. Anyways, we took a tripod, setup both cameras on auto and took the same pic, then printed them out to 8x10. The print outs were night and day in difference. Even on a PC screen you could see a huge difference in color, saturation, hue, etc.

Will the 43mp phone look good.. Hell yes it will. I'd still bet it couldn't hold a candle up to a 14mp DSLR camera still.

I think the camera on my Note 2 is decent enough for the quick snap here and there. You want good shots, get a real camera.

They boast 43mp, but like Colby said it's the quality of the camera that makes the difference. a 43mp dslr would cost thousands of dollars and would be a bad ass camera.

18.2mp w/ CMOS and 20.2mp CMOS sensor. Is not a bad attachment on top of 1080p video ability.

I used to sell Nikon's.. They have the worst customer service ever. Went right over to Cannon after that and never looked back. :)

iPhone 5c and 5s announced and after a bit of reading it appears Apple is really promoting the m7 chip which is x64 bit processing. I will be very interested to see how IOS 7 runs on this platform to see if Apple can take the market share back from Samsung/Android.
Im still in a non contract and waiting to make a decision mode.
I know we have some die hard android guys on here, so lets here it from the uber tech and our OP Colby...
thoughts on the new Apple 5s? :D

    Apple lost its edge.

iOS7 is a rip off of Android.

The new 5c is lame. ooooooohhh, colors.. Wow..

The hardware is falling behind. No way in hell the iPhone will compete with a Note 3 on any aspect other than its smaller in physical size.

I don't get the "Apple Fanboy" shit. I guess if you want an entertainment device and pay more for less, go Apple.

Just for the record, I have an iPhone 5, Note 2, S4 now.. Every time I pick up the iPhone I have to wonder who the fuck buys this thing? Really, its a toy.

Sonys is too and I believe is tmobile exclusive. Don't know much else about it though. Need to research.

I think the iPhone 5s is a great looking device and the perfect size for my pocket. I haven't made a decision but I will definitely visit the Apple store for my first time and play about a month after it releases.

I was VERY close to buying a HTC One last week. My friend is willing to sell me his that is barely used for 275 bones (sweet deal for a new phone) I played with both the S4 and the One for about 30 min and I really liked the One.

Even you Colby have to be a little interested to see how IOS 7 runs on x64. Youre a geek man, It doesnt matter if its a rip off of Android. Everything is a rip off of something nowadays.

I'm an apple developer. I've been playing with iOS7 for awhile now, as well, we already have a few of the new 5 series phones in office to test with, I just don't have time to get over to them.

HTC One is a great phone. I'd go with that for 275$.
