I told him that with some research, I found out that my car was built during that last month before they closed. He said, "Oh it's a Tacoma."

Hmmm.... so in chatting with him, he told me that his line was the Tacoma and it's a possibility that he helped somewhere on the line with my truck because near the end when NUMMI was downsizing, they hand picked people to do the last builds and he was one of them.

I straight up asked him about the frame rust issues and if he thinks that the 2nd gens would have them. He said that he is bound not to say certain things but he did tell me that the Dana frames were from Ohio and that before shipment they are supposed to oil the frames for protection and them remove the oil before assembly. He said that he saw many frames that came in that were NOT oiled and under his breath he mumbled something along the lines of "cutting costs of removal..."

He also said that the trucks with the most issues where the 07s. I asked him what exactly were the issues and he said, that the known one was with "...." (I forgot what exactly it was but something made me think front suspension wheel falling off type of vision in my head). When I asked him what the other issues were, he said that there are some things that he cannot talk about. *sigh*

I'd personally buy you a new truck if your frame ever rusts. (That's how confident I am that it wont, as long as you don't move to the salt belt.)

Freebirds they smear it all around before rolling it. I've never really had one broken up like that. but everywhere else seems to have it down the other way

I've been researching like crazy but I can't find the answer. Whats illegal and whats not in engine swaps? I want to put a b18c in my integra which has vtec but i was told that its illegal. I also found that its legal if the swap is a newer of the same model but my car does not have vtec.

So I got my new wheels/tires balanced and now seems like there is a shake, even worse than before I took it in. I can feel my whole body bumping up/down. It's not a heavy bounce but a quick fast bounce. Any ideas? I'm really hoping they just shook a weight. I took it to Americas Tire and had them use tape weights.

Also, since I've taken off my sway bar I've noticed more play in the steering. I feel like if my tires catch the slightest rut, they'll pull one way or another. Is this normal?

I'm super happy off the looks, but Im not happy with the handling.

I had one and then someone stole the c from .com and I got teased for 'om'.

Bob sent me another one and that one is still intact.

So I got 10 more and if nobody at the meet wants them, I'll plaster my truck with them!

Not saying you didn't but as admin on the cycling site, I've had people actually DIRECT me what to do, telling me what I should do and if I don't do it, they will get mad. I've either ignored them or handled it another way...
