Looks like a Faxon ARAK-21 upper on a standard lower to me. Someone here just bought one not too long ago. $1200 for the upper I think.

    Edit: from two pages back...

The only shitty thing is you can't fire it from the folded configuration.

Pass. Over-priced & over-hyped. Had one when they first came out, put a lot of hours behind it and just couldn't make myself love it as much as I wanted to. Of the various weapon systems to come out recently I'm REALLY liking the Tavor. Fully ready to fire with proper length of pull it's still shorter with a 16" barrel than say my 7.5" bbl AR15 w/stock not at the proper LOP fully collapsed. No tax stamps or NFA bullshit required either. As far as a battle rifle goes this thing is the cat's ass!

^what he said. Looks like a Seekins lower. That might be worth the effort to get an SBR tag when you also get a folding stock. Just makes it so much more handy.

The Scar's are nice, no doubt. Just not what I want to be using as an everyday gun to be throwing around the truck and the woods and stuff. I feel much less guilty beating the shit out of an AR platform.

I havent played with one of those.. And i agree that the scar is steep on price, but i really like it. The bad part is for an AR platform, most you can swap and change everything, you can upgrade the scar and change some things but its not as cheap and not nearly as many options so for all intesive purposes your stuck with what you got, i would like a trigger upgrade. I have a scar 17 as well.

Its a little non ideal but i have a socom 16 and i love it too. the front sights are too fat (trijicon night sight) stock but the thing is fun for medium distance and i love the old style rifle feel.

yes. i do feel guilty beating up a 2k or $2500 rifle not including optics..

the m1a (socom 16) i dont feel guilty about beating up though.. its just fun

i have a 10/22 with a talo wood stock that i never shoot anymore because its to nice and fagile, now i have a 10/22 takedown (i thought they were stupid when i first saw them) and i love it, throw it in the bag and go..

You can with the scar, obviously not the only one out there but the PWS muzzle break makes it very smooth... as a side effect you dont want to be standing next to it when someone shoots and your not wearing ear pro lol

That is the one i would have bought over the one i have, however i bought it during FEB of 2013 for $1200 new and it was the only one around.

It has a shorter barrel, but it doesnt make as big of a difference as i expected. I plan to swap the front for an M1 match sight over the trijicon, then it will be perfect. I love the solid feel and the classic ergonomics however you want to say it.

I cant believe how much i love the thing, i really wanted a classic m14/m1a rifle to have and got this one because at the time it was a great price and then i fell in love with it. I also havent had a single problem with it, although i have heard of others having issues. I dont ever plan to run optics on it, just upgrade the irons and enjoy it :)

I want to know why not with the ARAK-21 upper. The recoil system is all in front of the chamber.

Yea, I'm wondering the same thing. I wouldn't think the stock's position should have anything to do with whether or not it can fire.

Ruger new model Blackhawk in .45 colt. I like the black hawk, I reload so I am able to run some ruger only loads in it.

Some guns have a disconnect that makes it so they can't fire while the stock is folded, It makes them CA legal.

I love the gun, its a lot of fun at the range, and the 7.5 inch barrel makes the recoil very manageable, even with some real heavy ruger only loads.

Since ammo has become so expensive I've been storing it in the safe. Never did before because I don't have young kids around. Going to need a bigger safe. :D
