yea. or in his case 265/70s. think he is getting some 265/75s..so closer to 32''

either way. My 31s looked great with 1'' lift it came with.

i'm thinking 1'', i don't really do any offloading, except 3 miles of a dirt road that has some major ruts in it, then past that i ride the quad.
my rear is sagging pretty bad, over winter break i think i'm gonna rebuild my rear springs, then i can adjust the front to whatever is 1.5-2.5'' lower than the back.
30.5'' tires stock, the tire's i'm probably getting are 31.5''

Sounds beefy idling, but growls when you punch the gas. Barely louder than stock. Just the way I wanted it!

Does it have an alarm if the temp goes passed a certain point? I would love something like that

I think it's a outside air temp gauge, why would you need a alarm for that? (just curios)

Haha i guess thats a little cold for the engine

I thought it might be a engine temp gauge. It would be very helpful to have some sort of alarm if the temp got too hot. My year doesnt have a warning system for that- as far as i know.. I overheated my engine 2 years ago and didnt know my water pump failed until i was parked. Thats when i heard the rad boiling

Exactly! Everyone hears differently. I like bass volume and having the ability to use it when I want it, and also be able to just have slight bass when turned down for the rock and country!
This sub sounds way better, to my ears, than my two 8s that were professionally installed, and my one 10 that was custom made... maybe because this box was specifically made for this specific 12" sub, and the clearity of the 12 is much better, in my experience, than my previous systems. There are soooo many things that contribute to the clarity and sound (how they're powered, box dimensions, ported or not, size inside rig, even where the sub is positioned in the rig) that anyone can say any size sub is the best... it just comes down to how you hear it and how you use it. If I only listened to rock and country, then I would have never gotten rid of my two 8s! They were great! But they could never have put out the bass that this 12 does unless I added two more subs to the already existing two. That would mean bigger box and bigger amp which means more space taken up in the cab and more money spent on the amp. So I found a happy medium with my setup, and my ears tell my it's the best so far. I can still listen to country and rock by having the sub turned way down, metal needs just a little more for, and dub/hippity-hop can shock the shit out of anyone who appreciates car audio. So I'm happy with my setup because it does it all just like two 10s.

again though. If you had had the right 8s or 10..you wouldn't want a 12. Hell i bet just one of my 10s will out do most peoples 12s. 1000w RMS and Carbon Fiber cone. Why im gonna get rid of one. So freaking powerful. ive never distorted them and i have had them up so loud people could feel it from 100' away  stupid really..

But yes. Box is a big big part of it as is amp choice and position.

and i also notice you don't have an amp for your fronts or rears and don't have aftermarket speakers?

so..you just a guy that likes bass more then the full musical experience. Which is fine. But..id encourage you to finish out the system..you don't know what your missing!

I didn't have a lot of time yesterday, just enough time to get it in and buttoned up. It's been an ongoing project for about a week now and I got really tired of my dash tore apart.

I also was working on this during the twins nap times.....

I don't buy that either. When you use the heat/cooling method you actually cause the metal to microscopically shrink back to it's original shape. When I was living in Texas we used to do those repairs all the time and never had one come back.

Ha! There you are wrong again... Other amp is under my passenger seat powering the 4 door Alpine speakers w/ crossovers! Nothing is stock in my truck that has to do with audio. And I get it done right... you're eardrums will blow before my speakers distort. The shop that installed told me to be careful, and that was only talking about the door speakers! :p
And how can you be so sure when you haven't even heard my system yet... you're pretty cocky there, Monte, especially for not even knowing what I'm hiding in here! ;) I would like to believe that someone who has taught there hearing to be as precise as yours would approve and be slightly impressed with what I've come up with over the past five years and three different setups later in this truck. Maybe someday... ;)
