is it possible that my front wheel bearings could be bad without the howling noise with increasing speed? im having a grinding type noise whenever i turn and brake at low speeds. also whenever i was on the highway the other day it seemed like my steering felt floaty a couple of times when i was changing lanes. could have been the road im not sure though. at first i thought they were just shit o riley pads but then it just did it today when ever i was turning all the way to the right while i wasnt moving. ideas?

gonna jack up my truck tomorrow and see if the wheel feels funny when i turn it and move it in the air

If it did it sitting still the that pretty much does away with wheel bearings. Sounds like maybe steering rack.

Also it doesn't do it all the time. No sounds at all at speeds above 20 mph. Will also make the grinding noise after I let off the brakes and start to accelerate sometimes

If it was a backing plate being bent and rubbing i dont how it would only do it turning and below 20mph.

I totally agree, it just seems strange that it comes and goes with speed and turning and does it sitting still. But not at higher speeds.

Check the wheel well liner. My plastic liner came loose and was rubbing the tire at speed making a pretty bad sound. I "trimmed" it back some and the noise went away.
