Installed, test driven, and dyno'd today. 8.2 PSI made 305 HP/309 Ft-Lbs @ right about 6K rpm. Large drop in AFR (like to 9.8 @ WOT) that I've gotta figure out....but the front bumper is back on and it drives like a truck...a really quick truck.

Awesome. That whine is addicting isn't it lol? If you can't figure out why it's running so fat, check the vacuum lines. On mine, the instructions told me to hook the fuel pressure regulator to the boost port, so I did. Well that turned out to be the reason mine was running super fat even with the 7th injector turned off. I moved the vacuum line from the boost port to a port on the intake tube and the AFRs looked a lot better. I don't know if its the same for the second gens though.

Holy balls... I damn near had to eat my shoe. Somethin's not exactly right IMO with the specs you're running. What's your elevation?

I'm not even hearing the S/C whine in your dyno vid. Is your bypass moving freely? Are you positive that all of your vac lines are hooked up correctly and tight? (I had a problem with this on mine) Mine's real whiny and all TRD ones are. This is at 6000 ft with mud tires

Damn it...I wish i had thought of that yesterday. I do have mine boost referenced, so I could have pulled that off and seen what the AFR would do.

Today was good-Figured out that I had a bad ballast on my fogs and started a warrnty claim for that and got a warranty claim started for my PLX gauge - It won't power up the gauge, so it's kinda usless until I get that figured out...

I think the lack of whine might just be my position and the type of room...It is there. I'll try for some in cab videos in e near future.

Any specific vac lines that were causing an issue??

Don't matter much where you were positioned because the TRD whine should overtake everything sound wise and I couldn't even pick it up (hardly) in your video

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slY3c7x9_SA
    compared to
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbJWUdZH-e8

Let's see... For me it was the one that connects to the underside of the S/C.
    Page 36, Fig 21-6
    https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&...ELk8tC&sig=AHIEtbQL8nyvr7IO6giFNtw8M9VzLi0RdQ

That being said check all of them and make sure that they are in the proper locations and are on snugly. Lastly, reach behind the S/C and make sure that the bypass is moving freely from full open to close. You have the belts all routed right I take it (sorry gotta ask)?

Also, I really need your altitude cause that matters too as far as numbers are concerned.

Solidly at sea level...Maybe a few feet below it even. 80% or so humidity and 90 degrees most days.
Belts are correct, I'll have to check the vac lines and bypass...

Mod list? Major engine ones that is? I think I recalled reading that you had a modified blower as well...

First Gen TRD Intake, URD 7th Injector, 320LPH AEM fuel pump, TRD Blower - Ported by Steigemeier w/ a 2.7 stealth pulley, Boost referenced FPR ("FPR Mod"), 668 injectors and IKH24 Denso plugs, UCON w/ the exhaust gears and T-Stat, DTLTs, URD YPipe, Wicked Flow muffler.

I think about covers it. It's Werty's original set up.

I just went a played with it for a bit...I don't have anywhere close by that I can pull any proper 4th gear runs to 6K, but I guess the whine is quieter in mine than it seems in those videos. The exhaust is a bit more obnoxious on mine too, but I'm okay with that.

Bypass seems to be sliding just fine by hand - Not sure if there is anything else I need to check on it.

You're not getting nearly the power you are budgeted for!!! Not sure what your getting for boost, but I think you should be around 12 with that setup. No way those tires are robbing THAT MUCH power from you and it's leaving me wondering what's up.

My exhaust is very obnoxious as well... Take a look at a couple of my videos. First is one I made when I was thinking I wasn't making any boost (which I wasn't). Second is when I figured it out, everything else is the same. The amount of S/C whine is definitely different.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHIY0K_0Ohw
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_zBP66ZZvY

As for the other stuff. You checked both ends of all of the hoses right? My actual issue was not where the hose meets the S/C, but rather where it meets the block. As for the bypass, here is a quick vid showing how it should cycle, just be sure that it isn't being partially held open (or closed) by something.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l62wlq9mXvY

I have something for you to try at some point in time if you wanna give me a call (someday) and I can walk you through it after you've checked out everything else.

Hmm..This makes me feel better and nervous all at the same time. Better cause I thought it'd be higher too, but nervous cause someone else did the work, so I'll be re-tracing their steps.

I was making about 8.2 psi on the dyno...I figured 10 was probably about where I would be, but the last truck I built was a V8 and it was not a positive displacement blower.

I'll have to re-trace hoses tmrw...I checked them all in the blower and made a couple adjustments, and the other ends all looked good, but I'll check and press them on again. Same for the bypass - with a bit more light i can double check it.
Thanks for the vids and the offer to help-I'm traveling for work next week, sit won't be soon, but I will take ya up on it!!

Of course. Give me a call. No way I want to leave a fellow boosted brother out to dry... Especially running that setup

Even though he gave me my one and only infraction on a technicality

For the UCON users - Anyone found the limp mode yet? If you have - What does it look like?

I was towing my horse trailer (about 2900lbs) this morning and got some intermittent P0353/P0356 (#3/#6 Cylinder Voltage Fails) which cleared out and then later in the trip came and went again. I also got an O2 sensor code and a Too lean and Too rich, about 2 mins apart.

So I'm concerned that the timing and/or fueling parameters are too far out for towing this trailer (as I have been using the blower just fine for the past two weeks) and I'm trying to start process of elimination towards fixing it.

    Thanks!!
