I bought it to turn off that goddamn seat belt alert, but I'm wondering if anyone has used it to make the fog lights be on without the main headlights being on.

 

Either one of you, what's wrong with soccer?

 

You can turn the seat belt chime off for free yourself and add a wire for your fog lights . Check out the free cheap mods section

 

Maybe they don't have the endurance to last for 90 minutes without a time out..????

Sorry Mike, I bloody hate soccer. It is SOOOOOO boring to watch. It's not even a real sport in my mind. And it's un-American. I didn't grow up playing it, so it doesn't count.

 

1) Turn the Car 'ON', but do not start the engine (Leave your foot off the brake). Cycle your trip reset knob until it reads ODO. Turn the ignition back off. Wait a couple of seconds.
2) Make sure seat belt is not fastened
3) Turn the ignition back on, do not start the car (Leave you foot off the break) As soon as you see everything light up, press and hold the trip reset knob and do a long 12 second count.
4) Keep your finger on the trip reset knob. Fasten your seat belt, as soon as you fasten your seat belt, you should see the ODO display go from XXXX miles to "b-on". At that time take your finger off the trip reset knob and press it again. It should cycle to "b-off". You should be all set and turn the ignition off and unfasten your seat belt.

 

I played a lot of soccer when I was younger. my favorite was indoor, I played on a travel team, fun stuff. I played rec soccer growing up, never tried out for high school though, soccer is pretty big in my town. I was to into skateboarding and other "recreational activities" by the time I made it to high school.

I saw that mod for the fog lights, but I won't do any electric mod, especially not on a new truck. I might have tried it on my '08, but not now. I was hoping someone here might have had experience with the ELM327.

Hey John, I haven't seen this tactic. I found one that had one hitting the break pedal 6 times and doing the hokey pokey. I'll try this one, thanks.

 

It looks like just a code reader . It's not going to make your fogs on at anytime . Just read check engine codes . I've had mine wired for 3 years no issues . Takes 5 mins .

Alright, I'll bite, what's the real 'American' sport?

For the record, I haven't found a sport that I actually enjoy watching other thank hockey. They're all boring to watch, I prefer to play.

 

It's supposed to BT into the Taco engine computers (1000+ 4-star Amazon reviews, which is quite impressive). The Android app is just a code reader, but the device itself gives you major access into your car/truck computer system.

 

Baseball is, to me, the definitive American sport. When I was growing up, my parents never missed a Red Sox game. My grandfather on my Mom's side periodically took us kids to PawSox games, and those were good times. I got to interact w/ Bill Buckner one time.

NFL football is a very, very, close second. My Dad took my brother and me to a lot of pre-season games at Shaeffer Stadium, the concrete and aluminum disaster, lol.

 

You want anytime fogs, you do a wire bypass on the relay. That's the only option.
