WTF??? I'm sorry, but those leg things look painful. Chafing and suffocating your nuts, much? What's the point, anyways? Sheesh, we are getting so lazy. :/ I could understand that stuff if you were disabled or something, but for normal people?? Come on.

Thats one way to look at it & FWIW I'm not anti tech or anything like that, its just it shouldn't consume every ounce of attention & time in someones life, aint nothing that important or urgent 99% of the time..

But it DOES bug the shit out of me when people do this while driving & you can almost always tell when it starts... the car ahead of you that was driving normal before is now swerving/drifting in & out of lane & speed has been reduced by 20mph, the only other place would be at check out line when 1 inconsiderate fucktard can't keep away enough to finish a transaction holding everyone else up.... I'll say this, I'm not above ripping the phone away from someone & tossing it, I may get my ass beat or in trouble because of it but there will be no doubt I did it for the right reasons...

Hey doug, one advantage of a cell phone, you don't have to feed a cell phone like you do your carrier pigeons and it's such a drag smelling like smoke all the time and having to stop and build a fire when you want to send a message! :)

i have a "dumb phone" (older, non-fancified), and try to use sparingly, for the purpose of a "phone" only...

i've never quite understood the infatuation, whether it's hen-pecking from chest level, or holding up to one's head, a device that emits EM radiation the entire time it is powered on...

WHY HAS NO ONE BROUGHT UP THE FACT, THAT THESE PEOPLE DON'T READ THE WARNING SIGNS ABOUT NO CELL PHONE USE, NEAR THE GAS PUMP!

Anyway, I don't think you have to be 40-45 yo to remember the days before technology took over. I'm 35 and remember my buddy getting his first computer in highschool, and how excited we where when he wrote out a program for this little stick figure guy to do a little dance on it. LOL.

It's only been a couple years since I stepped into the smart phone age. Now its really the only way I surf TW 99.9% of the time. I have a desk top and laptop computer that rarely get turned on. No need for it.

Hahahaha..:D I wish we had that kind of partyline when we had one.....;)

Anyway a partyline was a shared connection of sorts meaning that 2 to 3 seperate residences shared the phone line & number, actually for awhile it worked out because the people sharing the line were polite about not staying on too long & of course you could hear everything the other "party" was saying....had it for couple years when we had one....

    Ahhh technology...

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
I attempt to talk to people everywhere I go. I just get that "who the fuck do you think you are talking to, can't you see I am busy" look. Baseball games, gas stations, bathroom stalls when taking a shit...

One of the reasons I like camping is the lack of signal for phones. Recently went with 4 friends with age range 25-32. It's fun talking around a campfire all night with a few drinks. No distractions.

There has been plenty of times where I stop and look at how many people have their faces buried in their phone. When I was taking a summer class I noticed I was the only one in the hallway waiting for class to start that didn't have their phone open and I almost laughed out loud, literally. I think a girl noticed and thought I was crazy

You got a point there Brady, a huge difference between say SF Bay Area and say the OR coast, gee, people actually say hi to each other on the street, hell I bet I could even strike up a convo with a girl and she wouldn't look at me like I'm some dirtbag. I'm tired of people that are so damn stuck on themselves. I like chatting with folks, especially older folks, you almost always learn somethin you didn't know. Sheeit, you got fucking DVD players for the brats on road trips, WTF happened to "Hey kids, look at the horses!" How the hell am I supposed to chat up a lady when she's got her skull buried in a phone? It's bullshit. Hey ladies, wondering why you haven't found Mr Right? 'Cause Mr Right ain't in that fuckin phone of yours, you lookin in the wrong damn place. Mr Right is that dude on the mountain bike with the truck, sure he's got one of dem der smartphones too but he ain't got his skull buried in it, he's lookin at you hoping to make eye contact and strike up a convo but you're lookin like the whole world that is so goddamn interesting is right there in that stupid phone.
This shit is outta hand, the Zombie Apocalypse happened and we didn't even see it coming.

Wife and I go to Green Bank WV area every year, and the lack of cell service is one of the draws of the place. I think i wanna move to that area someday.
