    i quit trying to dig thru old threads to find my answer. Is it possible to put aftermarket speakers in without the damn mounting brackets from ********* or whoever. I just cant justify the extra coin for a damn bracket. :/

    I just used the shit stock speaker surrounds as a mount.. Cut the old speaker out, trimmed the plastic slightly with a dremel.. Then RTV'd the OEM plastic ring to my Alpine 6 x 9s. Worked great.

    Question about registering out of state vehicle in Oregon.... Is there a state "safety inspection" that I would have to go through? I'm curious if o mud flaps and a high clearance rear would present any issues. Will be living in the Hood River area.
