What does yours top out at? I would guess you might actually have a better top end than I do and more torque to get you there. Mine's got a good low end, gets strong in the 4-6,000 RPM range. It'll rev higher but that's where the pull is in my bike. It's not set up like the GSXR engine and won't take the beatings the race engines will take. Either way, bikes like ours aren't meant for straight lines, they get fun when the roads get twisty :)

I like the lawn cutting

Any of you guys interested in buying my tire mount? It bolts to anywhere on the bed rail . Setup for a 285/75/16 but I've never tried a different size tire . Can bring it on the 21st

    It's painted black now .

haha with a toolbox in front of it. one side of my bed has a hi lift mounted, only spot open is the rail directly over the driver side wheel well. I don't think the mount would work there

I saw one mod that looked pretty good, one guy mounted the front rail to the tool box so it was still functional.

I start pulling around 2,500 RPM and drops off around 5,000. The top end is alright. Straight line isn't what it was designed for. Twisty roads for days

I cut them but I think Denis rolled his up and zip tied them . Wish I did that but I didn't think I would be selling the bumper . Oh well ill come up with something .

You could just strap it down over your spare tire . It's wont go anywhere .

I think if I finished redoing my suspension and got good tires, mine would at least put up a respectable fight but, end of the day, mine just wasn't to handle like yours and no amount of upgrades is going to change that  I'll put you on mine and you can see what I mean, it feels a lot heavier than a well setup race bike when throwing it from corner to corner. But, sit on mine for 5 to 6 hours and you'll realize what mine was meant to do. :D

I had a katana and I've rode a few ducs . No way you will keep pace with Dave but you know that. 2 completely different bikes . Katana is comfy though . I took my test on mine the state cop said he was surprised at how well I did weaving the cones because of how heavy it is .

I agree with you 100%, a cheap Katana isn't going to hold a candle to a brand new Ducati. The suspension is by far the weak point of the Katana though. The 750's rear shock is a lot better than the 600, it's fully adjustable. I couldn't believe how much of a difference it made with the front by just swapping out the springs so they were set for my weight. Once I get the cash, I'll throw emulators and decent oils in them so they'll be basically set up like race forks. Until I had them installed, I would have never been convinced that the stock forks were THAT bad.

It should just be a short at this point. Gonna work on it with Billy soon. I'll keep you in mind when I actually have some cash to spare.

I have a few weak points comfort is good on short rides but I only have 1371 miles logged. Noise!!! The Termi pipes are very LOUD but it's expected, maybe a better muffled helmet. Heat is another one on a hot day this sucker is pumping out massive heat. Mike you've got fairings and coolant lol. I would love to do a head to head comparison of the two and have some fun with it. My roommate has the YZF-R1 it's a 2013 and we are on different spectrums but the two are neck and neck fighting. I love my duc I see it as a work of art rather than a mean of transportation. Need to get some touch up paint or a tank pad. Damn zipper
