    Hi,

I'm finally at the end with my 97 T100 4x4. I've been thinking about it for 3 years and going for a Tacoma Double Cab 4x4 TRD off road. I have been sort of waiting to see what will happen with the supposed redesign for 2014. I asked a dealer for a quote yesterday since I'm having some issues with the T100, they came back with a 2014. She said no major changes.

So I'm a bit confused, is 2014 a new truck or just the same old 2nd generation Tacoma? Also it looks like there is a color called blue ribbon versus nautical blue. My choices were nautical blue then Spruce Mica.

I don't want to buy it then find out there is a 2014 1/2 that has the new truck. Honestly, it will be my daily driver and I could use the better gas mileage.

I don't think it's fishy at all......I'm sure there are a few dealers out there that have them already with more on the way soon.

The 2014 is basically the same 2nd gen, you see what's different in that article. Nothing major....it's not a whole new truck.

I don't doubt it, op does. Post a picture of your window sticker to ease his worries.

What's the deal w/ the new SR trim? Kind of sounded like it was the Sport or replacement of.

they are the same as the 13's.

I was at the dealership friday night picking my wife up a new car and my good friend (who is in sales) was showing me the dealership brochure.
there is no differences except for 1 new trim package they are selling that looked like a sport but had black wheels. there was no info in the brochure regarding what options were available though...

    thats all I got.

It looks great in the pic.... however is was a step above the basemodel trim package in the list of trim packages... I told my buddy that I doubted it was going to be offered in 4x4... he differed...but I was basing my thoughts on how the pictures were organized from base to fully loaded.

My dealers website has 1 2014 in transit. I didn't think they delivered any 2014s yet. Wish someone would post a windows sticker pic.

The press release said SR is 4x4 and prerunner. Can't wait to see pics. Like the earlier commenter I checked out Toyota's website hoping to see pics but they're still pimping the 13's on there.

I'll have to stop by the dealer in the next couple of weeks to check them out.

    Stock for now...
LOL - my local dealer said they probably won't even get any since they aren't really any different from the '13's they got sitting on the lot , still...

There's a major redesign that is going to be released in the fall of 2015 as a 2016 model. No pics are available yet but if you google "2016 tacoma" there have been multiple press releases about the update.

There have been multiple "press releases" about a Tacoma redesign for the last 5 years.
These "press releases" have been from blogs and online magazines that have no CLUE what Toyota is planning.

If you have a link to an actual Toyota press release, post up the link or STFU.
