How do they do with the soft topper? I was talking with MrGrimm at a meet here in SoCal and he said that a con for his soft topper is that his dog hates it because it flaps with the wind while driving.
They look like happy dogs, so I suspect you don't have any issues with that, but I'm still curious.

    They actually like it!

They HATED the open bed, too much wind. I took them to the dog park with the side windows on, I took them off on the way home to see how they'd react. I can tell they are a little more nervous with the windows off, but they were still fine. I just gotta find a better way to tether them down. I rigged up a cable, but It's not giving them much room and they keep getting twisted.

Now I just gotta get a bed mat, I had to throw in the Home Depot cardboard cause they were sliddinnngggg all over the place last time haha. oops..

    Nice! They look very happy.
What about tying them to the middle of the front bedrail (at least I think the 2nd gens have front bedrails...)?
Just gotta make sure it's not enough so they can jump out!
I had my girlfriend's dog in the bed of my truck for like two blocks and she just sat back there braced in a corner and watched the world go by out the side windows just as happy as can be. It was weird because my family's dogs lie down in the back, but it made me smile.

Anyone live near Sac State? I want to move out and get a place in the area when I transfer to that school in January (but probably won't move until my second semester) and was wondering if it's crazy expensive.

Yeah I do that when the dogs aren't wet or covered in poison oak. It's nice to pet them while driving. :)

Not picking up the black/tan one? Or are you getting both?

I used to go on the Sunday Morning Ride where we'd meet and ride up to Alice's to get there by 8am. Eat, then complete the ride.

Man I love the Seahawks! That first half was brutal to watch, but I'm loving this second half even though I had to leave where I was watching it at.

I live right off Watt, Graduated from Sac State in May, but I'm moving to Ft. Benning, GA in March. There are TONS of houses and apartments around the school that are good prices. I can ask around if anyone at a house has an empty room.

Very nice, yea I've always let them in the back seat. they're just both big dogs. I'll fold down the back seats and put a blanket down on the seatbacks. Their hair just gets EVERYWHERE. lol

Today was only the 3rd time I've had them in the bed. I think they like it so I'm going to try and rig up a better cable.
