    Well,
I moved from VA to CO, (Longmont-ish) just in time for all this mad water.
I swear I didn't bring it with me.

Spent the last 4 years in Loudoun County (the western end) and the 3 prior to that closer to Fairfax. I grew up in East Texas, I've swapped coasts a couple times, (2 years in Los Angeles, all over the DC Metro area) but now it's thin air and unpredictable weather patterns. The Rockies are much more impressive than the Shenandoah, but I'll miss the Appalachian Trail. I haven't been out here long enough to explore much.

Nice, i went to school in herndon!!!! skateboarded all over fairfax and fair oaks area, along with tysons and down into DC. The mountains out here are way different than the shenandoah mtns for sure, but you wont get the color out here you get back there in the fall.

short pump town center is an awesome mall area. I miss richmond a lot, would never go back to NOVA or norther VA for people that dont know the area but id move to richmond again for sure!!!!

My office is at the CSU Foothills Campus, by Christman Field where the incident command post and flight ops are taking place. The CH-47s have been shaking my monitor ever since the rain lifted earlier. Lots of rescues of evacuees - just saw a Chinook roll a gurney out then immediately lift off, to be replaced by Flight for Life, who picked the gurney up for transport.

Safe flights for all the emergency responders today, and thanks for all you do.

Well my drive home from school turned out to be a little more eventful than usual. Got in a four car accident. I noticed traffic was stopping suddenly in an unusual spot so I started to stop and came to a complete stop. I noticed the truck behind me was coming up fast. Then all of a sudden I heard loud squealing, smash, smash, smash, and I went flying. And so did my ash tray with coins...coins flying everywhere. And then the sound of radiators spewing all over the road.

    Car I was forced into:

    Lost some powder coat
    [IMG]

Dented up and scratched my tailgate and screwed up my flip up plate

The truck that hit me, thank god for my bumpers! I kind of jacked him up

And the one who caused it all and flat out said he wasn't paying attention

This is why we can't have nice things. I'm hoping my frame is ok because he hit HARD. I noticed a slight wave so I need good vibes [IMG] My back is a little sore so lying down the rest of the evening. Odd that the Ford truck's airbags didn't deploy.

I hope you are alright Lauren. You will most likely be sore tomorrow. Finger crossed for the truck. Such a purty truck too. :D

Way to screw up a Mustang, jerk driver.

Hope you're okay and your truck only has 'battle scratch' damage, Ice Horse!

Reference the mass text, it is now in the news, Andy Hitch on Facebook has made the story public.

But there are still roadblocks in place that cannot be bypassed. Please continue to your support and prayers or whatever you do for well wishes that she eventually allows access to or LE removes her from the area to allow access to the road and help get much needed supplies to those people...including a co-worker of mine who lives in the Drake area.

He is safe, his house is intact but as with all the rest of the those poor folks, he's got issues to deal with it. We won't be seeing him at work for a good while.

You also have Redbull soda stream.

FYI UPDATE: I am still under sewage usage restrictions as is Jux (Steve). There was a notice on my house when I just got home from work, all residents east of XYZ Ave...We are both east of there. I am fortunate enough to have family in an unaffected area (if there is such a place here in NoCo) and I am staying there.
