    Mine is still going....but its been quiet so its OK.
    Had a crazy storm come through town a while ago...some wind and rain, lots of lightning. I guess a wind gust at the airport tipped a little plane over as it was taxiing out :eek:

    Yes, photography is a very expensive hobby. Wish someone would have told me that a while ago!
    So worth it. I love my 100-400. Its a pain to pack that beast around (4 pounds :eek: ) but it takes some amazing shots.
    Do you have any mom & pop camera shops there? You can find good deals that way. The store here deals in a lot of used gear. They inspect and test out everything and then price it based on condition. I got my lens for a steal and it had only been used a handful of times. The PO still had the original box and everything!

    Oops, Hope the pilot didn't get hurt. We had a little storm blow through, but nothing like that. Should be good for your forest fires.

    Everyone is OK but the plane in toast I'm sure - it was a Piper Cub.
    Rain is good for the fires but the lightning and wind are a bit counter productive
