X2. One of the reasons I dont recomend this route to eliminate axel wrap. Personally, I prefer a little bit of axel wrap. Lets me know my rear leafs can still flex. :)

Sorry, can't picture grease alone helping axle wrap??????????????????
And regardless, grease DID NOT help my "thunk".

The thump is not always caused by not enough grease in the driveshaft, u-joints etc. Worn leaf springs are the main culprit in causing the clunk or axle wrap that most are experiencing.

I have the same irritating problem. I guess it could not hurt to try both using grease and adding the add a leaf. However, it's strange that both seem to help the problem. Is this possible or is there only one solution?

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Adding a leaf will resolve the issue.

Center support bearing. Keeps the center of the driveshaft from flopping around at speed.

Lol! OK I will look into a new CSB as well. If the clunk comes back, I will really find the cause ;)

New Pioneer stereo, and all 4 speakers with Infinity components. Sirius satellite radio. Deckplate mod done. Door buzzer silenced forever thank God, tinted windows, vent visors, hood protector(bug guard), ceramic pads and new rotors, dechromed EVERYTHING. 2" Lift front 3" rear. Skyjacker AAL's and replacement leafs(and front spacers) from Fatbobsgarage.com. Skyjacker 7000 Hydro rear shocks, those Bilstein 5100 fronts are coming soon!
Mine went away completely when I replaced the leafs and put in a set of Skyjacker AAL's... And the clunk has not returned.

I get that too. I also get a noticebale clunk every nmow and again when I put it into Drive. Anyone else get that one? I also get a weird vibing sound from the front of the center console through the floor boards. Sounds like a faint gattling gun out of ammunition. Only at certain RPM though.
