We march to the beat of our own drum.

We don't take the freeway to and from stateline. We haul ass at 70mph along the train tracks.

    Robert-

Here are the coordinates for Evening Star mine. There are 3-4 mine shafts that you can look down. They are fenced from the top but you can still see down them. From Sunrise camp area just continue going up Kessler Peak rd and make your way around the mountain on your right and you'll see them on the mountain.

I don't think we've been on that road yet but I'm not sure.

Here's some info on Morning Star mine. Look under "Basic Information" and you'll see the notes that say it's not worth it anymore.

I just mapped it out and yeah it looks like fun! Couple questions about it tho; I see that on the Kelso-Cima rd side, it goes into the mountains towards WildHorse Canyon rd. through a wash. Should we instead take a left before it turns into a wash and head up the rd more East to the Hand/Glove Rock formation and up that miniwash to Wildhorse Canyon??

Thanks, yeah.........that's actually right up the road from Sunrise Rock......in fact, Kessler Peak Rd is right at the intersection where the big camp site is at Sunrise Rock area!! Guess I'll figure it out when we get going Saturday morning....I'll have to choose which side of the park we want to go....if we go up Fashay Pass, there's a pretty good chance we'll end up with you all....if not, then that's where we're headed!
