To my knowledge no one has found a wire that is hot only when the engine is running. I tapped into an ignition wire for my white halos that is one when you have the key set to ign. Easiest way to find it is that it is a blue wire with a yellow stripe on the fuse panel inside the cab behind the coin tray. My orange halos are tapped into my DTRLs... for now.

This is a group buy for complete kits only. You HAVE to buy the projectors along with new bulbs AND ballasts to receive the discount. Just buy everything and sell your PnP kit. You'd be getting higher quality bulbs and ballasts here anyways so it's a win/win.

I haven't been keeping up with it since I already have mine but last I saw Andrew posted that the official count was 3. Not sure if any have jumped in since then

Doesn't take long if the people that are holding out just order. Seems like anywhere from 2-4 weeks time is all it takes.

Well, a few more times wrenching on my housing adjusters, and I think I'm finally pleased with my beams. I had to do a lot of turns on the horizontal adjusters to move the beams outwards, but man, driving back from the gym tonight was amazing. Way more side spill than I'd seen before. I'm really impressed with the dual cutoffs being almost parallel now. I want to say I had to turn the new Depo horizontal adjusters at least 10 full revolutions for that to happen.

It's hard to tell, but I think there is a bit of flicker (or vibration) of the projectors, or possibly the entire reflector/projector combo. Sometimes I see flickering light, on bumpers in front of me, but the cutoff still looks solid, so I can't determine why the light looks that way. Perhaps it's just that the beam is so focused that it has a lot of specular highlights when shining on curved surfaces, I don't know...

Regardless, I am really impressed with my setup now, especially when seeing all the crap that other people have installed in theirs... I just shake my head seeing all those HID bulbs installed in stock reflectors, blinding me as I drive by.

The flickering you see is just the color spectrum being projected takes some getting used to. Stand about 25 foot in front of your truck and slowly squat down and you'll see it

What type of flickering are you talking about, color flicker or on/off flicker?
My brother had a bit of flickering going on with one of his headlights too.. As if it wasn't getting enough power or something.. but it went away after a while.. It was only the right side.

I had the same feel when I retrofitted my previous car. Not sure how people would react in the US and Canada but here in Australia I sometimes would flick my highbeam on/off at people with blinding HIDs in the stock halogen housing.

Just made my order. Through the previous couple pages I'm guessing theres around 8 or so orders so far. Hopefully Andrew from TRS can update us on this.

PITA man. Make sure theres no oil/grease or fingerprints on it and that it completely dry before painting. Perhaps you could also use plastic primer/adhesion promotor beforehand?

This is how i do it.
I use a product called "Pre" Made by Eastwood, I wipe it down with that.
Then spray paint it in a cardboard box.

I dont sand the chrome or anything, just a wipe down.

1 of the chrome piece turned out fine, while the other one was not adhering in the edges....

I spray it directly where there is no paint, and the paint just slowly disappear leaving the chrome exposed lol... it sounds weird, but thats how i am experiencing.
I am going to put on a coat of primer before painting it this time.

PS: I just notice if i lay down a coat of primer, than the actual color i want to spray paint. It goes on much easier, and better coverage with less sprays?

There's some oil or silicone on that spot... no other reason the paint would wick away from it like that.

    Hey guys with D2S Projectors.
I notice that no matter how i put on my 1st Nut lock ring over the rubber gasket, it seems that the bottom is not threading on correctly.... Like the top catches 1 more line of thread while the bottom is not. So there is a bit of slack that the Projector can move up if u push on it?

And also... if forgot which rubber gasket goes in first lol.
Now i have all 4 sitting in front of me, and they all look the same?
SO does it matter which one is which??
