Do I remove the entire bumper support piece that runs on top ? I removed it but there's a small piece that doesn't unbolt. Will that interfere with the winch?abamejun_a1a1a708e11354b8e42d8f436105702152e5e668.jpgajyqe4a5_d8871b034322ccffbfda6e643a733297463a5c44.jpg

The pictures are how it is supposed to look before the new bumper is installed.

The small black metal strip in front of the radiator stays on. The grill mounts on that strip.

Ah got it all mounted up. Question is it normal to have the gaps be a bit uneven? The passenger side gap between fender and bumper is like 1/4-1/2" more than the driver's side. It's pretty even in the center...is that just the nature of tolerances?

all bumpers and frames are a little different, so you will want to get/use some large washers on the lower mounting bolts to space the bumper down on one side to even things out. they will go between the bumper and frame of course. (this is NOT refferring to the 3 bolts coming off the front of the truck on wither side, but the ones down below ther radiator)

The new brackets you can't do that. The lower bracket mounts to the sway bar attachment point too.

can't just space that down to match? that or just elongate the holes as needed.

I loosened all bolts, used a floor jack and a block of wood to raise the bumper and get it aligned, then tightened all bolts. I had to enlarge some of the holes on the side plates.

It took a little trial and error, some times I had to keep one side tight and jack up the bumper from the other side but I finally got it all aligned and tight.

These new brackets that mount to the sway bar mounts have very little give. I would have to widen some holes up.

Sorry to revive a thread that died so long ago... if any of you are still around- I just got a used All Pro Standard bumper, and I'm wondering if I can reattach my sway bar once I attach the bumper brackets at those points? Or is the sway bar incompatible with this bumper?
