    MAINTENCE WISE!! (NOT MOD)

List your details about your tacoma.
    Odometer:175000
    Year:07
Where it gets driven most: Highway/offroad: Highway
How much $$$ you spent on it maintenance repairs wise: $15
And not service wise like oil changes/washerfluid, just strictly parts wise.

Im curious to see how great toyota really is ;)

I myself have had it since new,, warranty ended at 160000, I just had to replace a pulley bearing at 174000, and under warranty all they have done is 1 pulley bearing, and like 3fan motors.. lol And another one to come soon..

    And i baby my truck!!

Since toyota charges out the a*s for labor, about $1.5k. My last trip alone was over $400 to put new tires and my coils on.

2001 PreRunner with 134,000 miles. Got it in 2010.

Gets driven about 200 HWY miles a week and sees the mud, a field, or a trail almost every weekend

The only maintenance I've done on it is oil changes. I got free balance and rotations on my tires for life from Discount Tire. I got mine at 90,000, so I'm getting the transmission flushed and all new brakes next week, which will be about $240. The Tacoma engine is pretty solid, so all the saved maintenance money goes to MODS! With all the bragging I just did, I'd like to officially knock on wood:D

I think that's mods. This is just maintenance. Unless there's one of those too.

Most of my maintenance costs stem from fighting North East rust. New bumpers $100ea, new oil pan $140, need new wheels (steels rust)$200, new exhaust$200, skid plates$50(used), ect all due to rust. Also I've had to replace a detonated A/C compressor and the components$400. Oil changes cost around $30 for just the oil and filter, well over $100 to change all the other drive-train fluids, fresh coolant will cost around $70, grease for drive shafts. Belts ~$30, plugs $30. In total around or over $1500(all work done myself). New tires soon another $500.

A very robust truck, but a truck none the less, and so it's still an expensive vehicle to properly maintain. With the Tacoma however, my feeling is that I'll get out what I put into it. So if it costs some money up-front but I'll get 300k miles out of it, that's just alright.

Save the money you'd otherwise put towards "mods" and put it into thorough maintenance, you'll be rewarded with a longer lasting, more reliable vehicle.(my opinion)

    Post link before posting.

Edit: You (op) should clarify self inflicted damage that needed repairs vs normal repairs (wear and tear).

Yeah I screwed up on the poll. I thought we were talking about mods and not repairs.

My vote should be thrown into the 0-500 selection.
