You can still use the factory spare location. I had to beat the notch in the body a little bigger and have to slide the middle section of the crank through the opening from inside since the flared end won't fit through.

It shows that yours has been shipped. You should call Fastenal and check to see if it is there. I wasn't expecting the first half of my order since my name was still black and then BAMM, they call and said that it is there.

Hey, Tim... Seeing how its been nearly 2 months since your last post here, mind throwing everyone a bone and giving an update on the bumpers?

Yea definitely call your local Fastnals guys. Sometimes they don't know WTF it is and won't call. My store didn't.

I'm pleased how it rides with stock suspension she initially sagged 1/2". Haven't checked again since I put some miles on.

Thanks, I'm pretty pleased with the way it's coming together. Lift, rear bumper, then some skids and maybe a Homer grill and I will be ready to stop dumpin money in this pit.

If I was using your lift I'd be done, but I think you're lying to yourself.

I'm not trying to stir up shit, but I've read through this thread and so far two people from the group buy have received bumper with options they didn't request and Tim hasn't responded in over two months. I realize Tim is one guy and is busy with School and other stuff, but this is just bad business plain and simple. If you don't have the time, don't do a group buy. If this was any other vendor in TW people would be ripping them apart.

This thread along with a previous thread that was deleted due to the Elite fan boys crying foul is enough to make me never buy an Elite bumper. Which is too bad because I think Tim makes one of the best looking 1st gen bumpers.

We all knew what we were getting into before hand, as for the bumper mix up they both chose to not send them back so thats there problem. The lack of response from Tim just adds to the suspense

In related news, a guy PMd me & stated he ordered his sliders 5 months ago. They were supposed to ship in July but have not. He seemed pretty pissed off & stated he was going to ask Tim for a refund.

It's fine that the guys agreed to accept the bumpers they were sent, but they were still made wrong no matter how you look at it. Like CHPTR11 stated, and I agree with him that Tim makes one of the best looking 1st Gen. bumpers on the market... there is no question about that. Which is exactly why I put my $1,000 payment down in August and will be waiting for mine to be fabricated.

You have to expect long delays with a 1 man shop, who also goes to school and works. That is daunting enough to just think about it.

I wouldn't send it back either if I had waited months to receive the bumper and paid $100+ shipping. Now if Tim contacted them and offered to have the bumpers shipped back to him and correct their orders its a different story. However, there are several posts about people sending Tim multiple PM's with zero replies. Again I realize he is busy, but you can not leave your customers in limbo. Period.
