I have an 05 4.0L Tacoma that is supercharged and I am trying to find out what Cai would be the best fit or if it is even a good idea. I have read some other posts saying it might not be. Any help would be much appreciated

I have heard that it is not recommended to have a CAI with a supercharger. I imagine that they are reffering to intakes with oil. But if you think about it, how can an intake hurt a supercharger, really.

What kind of numbers would I be looking at? I have seen as high as 20-25 which to me seems high. What about increasing the pulley size on my s/c?

I mean basically what I am looking for is some more horsepower and I have looked at the whole chip thing and have not seen anything promising. Right now I have a supercharger with Doug thorley long tube headers and a dual magnaflow exhaust.

my KN cai has served nothing but make cool noises and clear up the clutter in the engine bay.

Exactly but I have seen some posts about how it could make your engine run extremely lean

You might look at Volant, K&N, AFE, and TRD but you should just get a high flow filter unless you have one already you are good with your current setup

I have the stock air box with a kn filter. I'm looking for the next step to higher hp without spending a fortune

You should just stick the high flow K&N since you wont pick up any real gains except noise

Did you buy the MAF Sensor calibrator as well?
