Just gotta find me an open wireless or one without a login screen and il DL it from there, Really want/need to get this thing sold.

ToyComa92, I just saw a cable modem on sale at wal-mart for, I think, $25. I looked up centurylink and couldn't tell what type of service it was (dsl, cable, etc.). If you want, I'll look again and make sure it is docsis 3.0 compliant, then we can work out an arrangement to get it to you. Not the fastest solution for this particular problem, but good for the future. One other thing--have you tried updating the firmware on your current modem? Here is an interesting link if you happen to have the modem they describe (2-wire 2700HGV). http://bt2700hgv.tripod.com/ir1002700HGV.htm

Ah, I see. Maybe try playing music on the iPhone then change the output to speakerphone and then pause the music. Might get it to play the notifications out of the phone instead. Hopefully if you then get a call it still plays through the car stereo using Bluetooth.

You can use a feature called AssistiveTouch.

Settings>General>Scroll down to Accessibility>Scroll down to AssistiveTouch and turn it on

A little black square with a white circle will appear. You can place it anywhere on the border of your screen you'd like too, and it lets you do quite a lot, like lock your screen(you just use your home button to wake your phone up) and screen shot, etc. It also allows for custom gestures as well.

This will at least allow you to turn off your screen when you want to until you get the button fixed.

If you dont like it you can just set your auto-lock to one minute.

I already do both its just annoying how this seems to always happen with these phones. My gf had this happen to her phone twice and got both of them replaced but whenever I go into the store I leave with the same POS phone

On a side note I just replaced the screen on a buddy's iPhone 4 this weekend. Not too bad as long as you can keep track of 100 microscopic screws. so replacing the lock button yourself shouldn't be too hard.

I've had the 4 with no problems but my gf had this problem with her 4 once, then I switched to the 4s and its just started happening recently, and now she has the 4s too and they've already replaced 2 or her 4s. When I was in the apple store there were 2 other people with this exact problem. I looked it up online and it seems like its a pretty common thing, people open up their phone and put a piece of folded up pair in where the rubber bumper is supposed to be to lock your screen.

Are you a clutz that breaks their phone once or ideally twice in two years? Then yes.

no. my 4 lasted 2.5 years, not even a cracked screen. (knock on wood)and it has fallen out of the truck when i have been getting out. had it in a lifeproof and was on the rhino and it fell and i ran it over with the back tire.(1200lbs side by side plus 2 people in it) so i’d say close to 500lbs or so ran it over.

Just go with a SquareTrade warranty. You can actually download their app and add warranty to your phone for like $6.99/month if you're beyond your 90 days of purchase.
