Jezus, dont lose it. Will it transmit 5w?

Leo if you want a radio that you can get the headset and pushbutton from Baja Designs. That thing aint gonna work in your helmet, lol. That is unless you can get some sort of setup for it, that little mic/headset is gonna be smashed to your head in your helmet if you can even get it on, wont be very comfortable.

Check out the Icom V-8 I was looking for over a year before I got that setup, now all my racing / baja buddies run them, best deal out there!

That little one is pretty cool for a backup though.

The headset you can get goes into the helmet permanently and has a mic by your mouth, same stuff used in Helos so its very high quality stuff.

Me and my wife use them too when riding together so I can tell here if its OK to proceed when the trial gets tough, really good thing to have.

Wow that thing is only $30 with everything, I would get one for a backup!

My Icom with rechargeable batteries, and the BD headset was close to $300 after all said and done, but its Pro Quality race team comms stuff, actually inexpensive compared to a lot of the other stuff out there and will out perform it.

From my experience Icom's handheld are ok at best. Honestly this little thing works better.

Being an ICOM customer for over 30years, their HT's have seen their fair share of issues.

We had a V8000 on the dash of the race truck (no windshield) for 3 seasons and the thing worked perfect, looked like it had been to hell in back though.

HAHA If i had to prioritize, I would say lights for sure, bumper can wait, then next would be race radio.
