What's making the buzzing noise? The main board speaker? HDD? Fan?

But yes, over heating is a common issue with gaming machines. I'd suggest using compressed air, cleaning it out and then turn it on and ensure all the fans are running. Depending how long you have had it you may want to pull the CPU cooler and clean off the thermal paste and put fresh (SILVER) thermal paste back on it.

Clean the case. Check the fans and ensure they are running.

Are you over clocking anything? GPU/CPU/RAM? If so, set them back to default?

Does it blue screen? If so use this to find out what failed. http://www.resplendence.com/whocrashed

Many things can cause a PC to fail.. Power supplies being old is a major cause from what I've seen. At least PC's are easy to troubleshoot.

    Windows 8?

Windows 8 has a black screen of death.

Windows 7 and below have the blue screen of death.

Make sure to blow out the sink/fan setup on the GPU too... that gets clogged up easily.

Download CPU-Z and GPU-Z. See what your idle and full load temps are
    http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/cpu-z/1.66-setup-en.exe

    http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/SysInfo/GPU-Z/

If the temps are looking ok, run Prime95 (default test) and stress the system out. If it crashes while temps are in acceptable ranges... there's a hardware or config issue to start isolating.

This is where I'd start anyway, after general clean/go over the case of course.

It sounds like ~ 71C is the max safe temps for the CPU to be hitting under load. (TjMax is 100C, which would basically be the core melting down)

I love my PC too. But dumping the kinda cash into it when I rarely use it for gaming just doesn't make sense to me anymore.

looking about building a nice media server with a RAID5, 10TB of space. :D

So, my Galaxy Tab 2 decided to do the 4.1.1 to 4.2.2 update today. I really dislike it so far. The placing of where the back button, notification bar and other stuff is located. It's like have a 10 inch phone.

It took me an hour to figure out how to add a shortcut for tw to the home screen. I am tech savy, but that was kicking my butt.

It's nice, but it's not revolutionary, it's also ugly.

I like the performance of my apple products stock, vs the stock androids i've tried
