Newbie to Tacoma World

    My preferred daily driver is a 99 Tacoma SR5 extended cab with 4cy. 2.7L engine, that I bought used back in 03-04. I came across Tacoma World to try to find some information regarding my truck and found Tacoma World to be very helpful. I never thought I'd be driving a truck, considering what I've driven in the past. But I have to say, I love this truck. I have over 181,000 miles on it and in the pass two weeks had some rough idling, took it in to a recommended local mechanic who did a fuel injector flush and throttlebody/carb clean. The week after that, check engine light is on and took back. Now they say low compression on two cylinders. It's on hold for now, but am considering putting in a new engine.
