Thanks! I should clarify that I meant to say P938 and never intended to say P238. Sorry if I added any confusion.

Great info guys. Thanks again. I'm going to think about this for a little bit and play around with the Sig 1911 once it arrives to keep me entertained in the meantime. Will let you know what I end up rolling with!

A new Gander Mountain opened up a few miles from my house about a month ago. They were loaded up on .22LR when I stopped by last week. Over all though, there ammo prices are higher compared to Walmart & Academy.

Same here in North Tx, there ammo is outrageously priced. They know it to because alot of it is marked way down on sale right now and is still to high. Im talking 50rd box of winchester white box .40 was like $29.99.

Yea, that's ridiculous. There 100 count was $49.99. Under $19 for 50 or under $37 for 100 at academy / Walmart for Winchester white box.
I normally buy Winchester but Tulammo was cheap for target ammo at $12.97 for 50 rounds .40.

Thanks for taking the time to answer, Beavis. :). I almost think I want BOTH the P938 and Shield. Just figuring out which one I'd want to buy first is the challenge.

I've heard WCA has the P938 for sale as well. I need to go in there for some gunsmith work (threading of my AR-15 barrel) so I'm going to check out their pricing.

Oh, and I got a Fobus dual shoulder holster today. Kind of a fan of their Roto system. :p I think it will be a way more comfortable carry method when I'm out in the wilderness but there are times it may come in useful for in-town concealed carry.

I think it's about time I took a break though. :D The pocket book isn't too happy at the moment. I'm up too six Dan's now, two 357's, one 22, one 41, and two 44's. I need to take a family photo :).

$659 at LowPriceGuns as of Saturday. They actually had 2 in-stock, a Blackwood and an Equinox. Website listed zero available.

What do they normally go for? I thought that was a $350 shot gun all day long?

Nice choice! I couldn't be happier with my M&P 9c and always thinking of which M&P I should add next.

They go for between $350 and $400. I purchased mine for $475 1 month ago but with a couple more options:

Remington 887 - nice choice. Have you had a chance to shoot it yet? I've been so busy I have not yet fired mine. I did disassemble and clean completely when I got it as I've read some stories of people who did not initially clean as Remington instructs and encountered issues in the field.

It's had good and bad reviews but looked damn cool.

Bought 1000 rounds of 9mm, 1000 rounds of 45 ACP, 4 boxes of Federal and Hornady defensive ammo.

On a side note, I went into the store after they said my Sig Tactical Ops was ready for pick-up. I opened the box and got to handle it for about 5 minutes. Then the fed came back and said I had to wait until the 26th to pick it up. I have a CCW and have purchased a few firearms (including handguns) within the last 2 years. There has never been any delay until now. I didn't want the people at the store to see a grown man cry as I handed the pistol back. They say it's random and it happens for no rhyme or reason. Bummer :pout:

This weekend. I will chime back in once I shoot it. $349 price tag plus blah blah blah. The camo finish was another $100, no thanks. Everything has good and bad reviews. With how easy it is to go online and post one's opinion, it's inevitable to hear bad reviews on any product. It points great and fits me well, better than the Benelli's and Mossbergs.
