Check my build thread...too much to list.
Sure, cause I'm sure that's the real intention for his post. I'm done bringing this thread off topic and this is the last you'll hear from me on this thread.

Appears you barked-up the wrong tailpipe on this thread...

OP...check Camelback Toyota for bed mats. They have the OEM at excellent prices and fast shipping. They are listed in the vendors section...ask for Jorge

Oh I agree with you that there are differences in all aspects of our trucks. But when he said
it sounded like he himself knew everything about the trucks, enough to slam someone for asking a question on here. Isn't that what this place is for? To learn? I'm sure the OP checked into what kind of truck he was getting, but as OP said, what the bed was made out of was low on his list of priorities.

All I'm saying is that those who live in glass houses should not cast stones.

Or be mean to each other.

I guess his post was so undeniably horrendous that it warranted 4-5 people whining over it. I'm going back to browsing, I'm out.

Indeed he did. But did he have to be rude? That wasn't very nice.

People are misconstruing every little detail when it is just a line of text that conveys no emotion. Everyone on here lives in a glass house apparently.

You have your opinion, and I have mine. All respectfully valid. Either way I'm done with this derailed train lol.

Rude is rude. He did not contribute to this thread in terms of helping op.

Rudeness and being mean to someone who wants to learn is never valid. You validated it.

    I reported myself. Be happy.

Any shop will spray them but they won't offer the lifetime warranty like normal beds, I know a few I called in the past didn't. OP, agree with the bed mat suggestion.

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
Having fought bed rust on a Gen 1 I couldn't be more pleased to never deal with it again. I wouldn't waste money on a bed mat either. Just take the extra minute to secure your load with bungees or ratchet straps. Beats the load jumping through the rear window in a head-on collision and smashing the back of your skull into j-e-l-l-O!

Love my bed mat, mainly if I have some smaller loose items back there they don't slide all over like a hockey match is going on in my bed. Even buying the horse stall mats at tractor supply is a good idea, or even the deezee mats as both options are cheaper than OEM and add extra traction.

Does anyone know the shortbed mat dimensions right off?

What made me decide to get a mat was when I was to deliver a very old, very large, very heavy garden pot that was passed on through generations. I thought the weight would keep it steadfast under a piece of carpet upside down directly onto the composite. But you are correct. That pot slid and hit the back of the cab pretty good. Then it slid back and hit the tailgate. I'm lucky it didn't crack or I would have been in trouble. But since I got the mat, it's held things in place when I do a Costco run.

+1 on the horse stall mat. They are heavier, thicker and a lot cheaper. I didn't know about until after I bought the OEM or else I would have gone that route.
