Ouch. Get well quickly. When I was working I had a lady working for me that did Professional Rodeo on the weekends. She fell from her horse and her arm got caught up in the reigns with a torn bicep as a result. She never rode professionally after that. She went into the judging aspect of Professional Rodeo. She is a very nice lady and a good person.

    Evening all:
OHHH! Sounds like a 283 ci. 283 hp. Know a guy that ran a 270 hp. 283 in a 57 chevy. He held the national record, for a short time, back in the late 60's. I think it was the first stock 283 to run in the 12's, and if I remember right, it had a motor built by Kruppi & Kling.
Same here on the surgery; good luck!

Good luck with the surgery. Had my rotator done 2 years ago and was out of work for 7 months, with physical therapy, have 99.9% back to normal. Surgeon did a great job. The worst part of the whole thing is not being able to lay down for a few weeks to sleep. Good luck.

    Morning all:
Interesting! Knew about the 220 power pack, but didn't know they had 2 different hp. fi. motors.
A friend of mine has a 57 vet. sitting in his garage, in pieces. He says it's all there, but I don't know what motor it had/has.
He's got a bug up his butt right now, because I didn't buy an outboard motor from him, that I did not want! Oh well!!!!!

I am sort of looking for a project car pending the CFO's approval. ;)

I have a bud up in Brampton, Canada doing a frame off restoration of a 75 Vette. He is moving along quite nicely with the project.

Nope; not that I know of. But, maby if you outlast him it will become available! ;)
He also has a 302 DZ motor that's totally gone over. I think it has a roller cam in it. NOW, there would be the engine I would want in it "TO PLAY".
This guy is sort of funny. He had a stripped out Hupmobile, that he wanted another guy to get back on the road, and then he would let him drive it. He did sell the Hupmobile after that didn't work out.
I really don't think he will ever put the vette on the road; he doesn't want to spend that type of money!
He had also offered me the same deal on the vette. I could do the wrenching but that's where it stops. He said everything is there, but it's all apart. The windshield is off, the interior is out, it is stripped to bare fiberglass, etc.,etc.
It looks like it would be a very good project car for someone that wants to spend the time and money on it.

Hit the big six-oh in three days. I belong to a loose Tacoma group here in the Phoenix area and most of the others are 30 give or take.

But we all like the same things: Off-Roading, spending too much on mods for out Tacomas, and (like all guys) cute girls.

    Hi All,
I know that I am old ,but I just don't understand lots of the posts on other threads of the forum. Younger people make up the majority of TW members. I get it. Why is it so important to have all the bells & whistles in a truck ? Its a freakin truck ! If you want all the crap that comes in a BMW, buy a BMW ! Don't expect a Toyota Tacoma to act & drive like a sports car! Sorry for the rant ,but I just had to vent.

    Thanks for the space,[IMG]

Welcome Mike. For me it is about making my then daily driver more liveable for the work commute. Now it is about tinkering with the Tacoma. Seems that car guys like to tinker with their rides.

Hey Mike; most of us remember when a truck was a truck, and cost less than a car. Who would have ever thought you couldn't get a stick shift in a truck??????
Back in 65-66, only farmers had trucks in our area.
Remember the VAN phase, now it's the truck phase; what next?
Oh Yea: Now it has to be a diesel to be cool!!!
If they were still available, I would stick with the 84-89 4-Runners. I owned two of them and just seemed to like them.
Just goes to show, these young guys must be making a lot of money to be able to do all the mods.to their trucks. You know, money to burn! ;)
