Idaho BS thread in the PNW

My '05 has ATRAC... It's always been around for the 2nd gens, they just didn't start calling it ATRAC until 2009. My Tacoma has both TRAC and ATRAC, but the manual just calls them both TRAC. All Toyota did was distinguish between the two and call it ATRAC and act like it was some new fancy impressive thing to try to increase sales. All 2009+ Tacomas have VSC (while 05-08 it was optional and rare) which means all 09+ TRD Offroads have ATRAC and only a few 05-08's have it.

 

2nd gen problems.

 

What problem? haha Bet your rig would be more capable than it is now if it had ATRAC. haha

 

My truck has 12mm 3rd member nutz. The dealer gave me 12mm studs(right size) and 14mm nuts(not the right size) so even they don't know what the hell is going on!

 

Nonsense! I have my right foot and a super flex rear axle. All good.

Ya, it's Logan. Aka tacosupreme on most forums, but it was taken here.

My truck, special ordered in Germany, had all the bells and whistles. Atrac, Trac, VSC, yada yada. I disabled all of it permanently, including ABS.

 

Yeah, I've seen a few of your threads on TTORA. Your Taco is pretty easy to recognize

Thanks! Not sure how far I will be driving since I am going to be driving one of Parker Toyota's vehicles. But I know I will want to go farther away than what I can walk from Parker Toyota and the AmeriTel across the street. Found out tonight they I am now flying up at 9 Saturday morning. So I basically have two days to do whatever I want. Lol. Might just sit in the room and relax for a couple days and drink Gin and Tonics. Don't know if I will ever have two days in my life ever again with nothing on my schedule.
